iPad randomly looses responsiveness to touch? Posted: 06 Sep 2018 08:18 AM PDT I have a 10.5 pro and for some reason (mostly noticeable when playing PUBG but also noticeable around the home screen too) my iPad screen becomes unresponsive. Disclaimer: I have the latest iOS 12 beta and I also use a matte screen protector but neither has proved to be problematic in the past. I also use the beta on my phone and I don't face any responsiveness issue. I am worried that this might be a hardware issue but I have been using it for 10 months rather carefully too, I don't see why that should be the case. [link] [comments]
Can I get used to the "iPad" when I have experience using the "iPad Pro"? Posted: 06 Sep 2018 09:14 AM PDT I gave my iPad Pro 10.5 to my gf. Now I am considering getting the regular iPad for myself. My main purposes are watching Netflix in bed, and read academic papers occasionally. Considering the fact that I am used to the high-quality laminated screen of the iPad Pro, do you think I will find the normal iPad okay? All I care is the screen quality, and its ability to play videos in high resolution. Unfortunately I don't live close to an Apple Store and cannot test it myself. Thanks. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Sep 2018 12:34 PM PDT So I bought an extra iPad on eBay, got it in the mail today and it's clear it's in set up mode but is asking for a password. I called the woman i bought it from and she told me all of the passwords she thought it is and she went to her Apple store, and they told her to tel me to go to an Apple store and they can fix it all for me. Should i do that or just file a complaint with Ebay and get my money back. [link] [comments]

Using WD Passport Ultra Hard Drive Posted: 06 Sep 2018 01:58 PM PDT Is there a wire that goes from a WD external hard drive to iPad lightning cable to be able to access my files on the passport hard drive on my iPad? [link] [comments]
What colour border iPad did / would you pick? Posted: 06 Sep 2018 08:57 AM PDT I actually have an iPad already, but I just wanted to hear from others. I looked around the Internet, and it seems like the general consensus is, if you're playing YouTube videos most of the time, you want black, which is like a safer option and less distracting. On the other hand, if you're doing things like reading, or writing notes, you want white which doesn't contrast with the white background on PDFs and note apps. I actually got a gold iPad (i.e white border), but my reasons were totally different from these recommended guidelines. My reason was because I was using an apple pencil, and the lightning cable is white as well. It would look really weird using a white apple pencil with a black iPad, the mismatch would just make me die inside. What about you guys? Any weird reasons for your colour choices? PS. kind of unrelated to my main question, but while we're on this topic, anyone knows why apple doesn't create a white border option for its line of MacBook Pros? Is it because the kind of apps used in MacBook Pros are different from that of iPad Pros, and the kinds of media usually consumed on MacBook Pros are often more suited for a black border? Macbook, Ipad and Google Backup and sync Posted: 06 Sep 2018 12:21 PM PDT I have a iTunes library on my Macbook. Now i'd like to have the same files on my iPad. I have synced the iTunes folder to Google drive, but i cannot find out how to sync this folder with my iPad. Is this possible, or how should i sync folders between mac and ipad (without iCloude)? Can I have two lightning connections with an adapter? One for charging, one for data? Posted: 05 Sep 2018 02:10 PM PDT I've searched around, but can't find the answer or an adapter. I have my iPad which I use to make music with my guitar. The device I am using obviously has to be plugged into the lightning port to receive input from the guitar. The downside is, battery gets drained and have to charge the iPad again before I use the guitar adapter. Any suggestions or links to products? Thanks! [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Sep 2018 02:10 AM PDT Hi all, Perhaps a bit of a simple request, but having never had an iPad I thought it best to check with the experts. I'm heading back to uni at the end of the month and I'm looking for an iPad to read through and highlight articles with some rudimentary not taking. Essentially a PDF Expert machine. Low cost would be the top priority, followed by battery life then portability/weight as a bonus. Any advice would be absolutely amazing! [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Sep 2018 05:38 AM PDT I'm using an iPad Air 2, and recently when I go into a comments link, then go back, it shows me the page for like a second and then it reloads and jumps a little, causing me to lose track of where I was. I've tried clearing out the history and website data, but it's still doing it. Any idea why this is happening? [link] [comments]
Wait for new 2018 iPad Pros or get 2017 ones on sale? Posted: 06 Sep 2018 05:37 AM PDT Hello! I'm in the market for a new iPad. I bought a 10.5 2017 soon after I sold my Mini 2 a week ago and I reaaaaally like it but I kind of wish I got the 12.9 inch (I'm still able to return my 10.5). I've been using the 10.5 for drawing, videos, GarageBand, Safari, and some note taking and it's been an absolute blast, but I think I would enjoy the bigger screen on the 12.9. My iPads typically stay at home so mobility isn't a concern. So, my ultimate question to you lovely folks is would it be worth it to get a 2017 12.9 while they're on sale or hold off for the 2018 Pros? I'm looking to keep the iPad for 3-5 years or longer. [Question] Best hardware keyboard for iPad 2018? Posted: 06 Sep 2018 02:26 AM PDT Hi everyone, just was wondering what you thought was the best hardware keyboard for the 2018 iPad? I'd prefer a clamp-on "clamshell" keyboard case but, if there is a BT keyboard that you recommend, I'll check it out as well. Basically wanted to use it next to my couch as an iMessage and email sidecar, then have the ability to detach the keyboard to watch TV or movies on a plane. Any ones that you own, or that stand out? Under 100$ is preferable, under 50$ is really preferable. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Sep 2018 01:41 AM PDT Today, I finally give up on connecting problem of my ipad and eduroam! I did any thing even a factory reset. My ipad 2018 works well with any wifi network (home, public,...) but not the eduroam network at my university. It keep connecting and disconecting that make the wifi network unusable! I would like to ask if any one of you have this problem? [link] [comments]

What can be done with an iPad mini (1st Gen) in 2018? Posted: 05 Sep 2018 07:48 PM PDT I just got a used iPad mini (1st Gen) which I intended to use as a thermostat and smart lights control, plus Chromecast remote, a kind of living room smart remote. However I quickly realized most relevant apps require a recent version of iOS and apparently there's no way to update it to a newer version, so I'm basically stuck with a handful of supported apps (it's iOS 9.3.5). Chrome, for instance, won't install. Youtube will. What would you guys recommend to make the most of this device I got for nearly free? I apologize if my question sounds stupid, This is my first Apple device. [link] [comments]
