    I can not tell you how many times I've gone to flip my pencil around to erase part of something I'm working on, only to remember that the top of the Apple Pencil is just a plastic cap :(. This would be so useful, in so many different applications.

    How to protect some of your photos with Touch ID/Face ID without 3rd-party apps!

    1. create a new Note in Apple's Notes app
    2. add your photos to the Note (via Share button or Copy & Paste
    3. set up a lock for the Note (it's under the Share button), you might be asked for a password
    4. go to Settings—Notes—Password—Use Touch/Face ID. Done!

    you can add new photos with Copy & Paste. It's free, safe, backed-up on your iCloud (if you want) and no sneaky, suspicious "photo vault" apps are required!

    I go to the college prep kind of boarding school, and I bought an iPad Pro as my main device. Great for notes, etc. but that's a different story. My point is I work with pdfs on it all the time and have to do a lot of printing. The printers we have at the dorms don't let us print from anything aside from the designated desktops, however two of those are iMacs. I use to just log into iCloud on one of the Windows machines, export my document as a pdf, print it, then log out of iCloud. This got annoying with 2 factor authentication, making sure I logged out, and horrendous boot times for Edge. Then I realized something yesterday I should have realized like a year ago. I can just take a file on my iPad, airdrop it to the iMac, and print it. It's so fast it's crazy. Airdrop has so many applications that I've come to appreciate like this that make me just love the ecosystem.

    iPhone X has a major screen issue

    Mobile games like PUBG is where the ghost touch issue first manifests itself and becomes noticeable (thanks to their sensitive controls). It then increases over time and makes the entire phone unusuable

    First, you notice random touches in places you didn't intend to. Over time, entire columns of pixels stop responding to touch. Touching those unresponsive pixels results in erratic/unpredictable behavior

    When left unrepaired, it develops into a severe, constant ghost touch, where unlocking your phone means risking it doing absolutely anything random.

    This is the second replacement Apple has given me in a month and not even a day of use and it's again developing the exact same symptoms as the last two

    Anyone else?

    iPhone X users: what will make you upgrade to “XS”?

    I got the iPhone X on launch day and it still feels perfect. I think I'm going to skip the plus size this year (I had the old 6+ and other Plus models) but I really enjoy the size of the X. I'm not really into gold, so I'm really out of reasons I need that upgrade. I'm on the iPhone upgrade program so I can get a new phone every year but I'm actually considering keeping the X another year, or at least not upgrading on launch day. Perhaps on the 12th they will announce a feature I just can't live without, but I sort of doubt it.

    Other iPhone X users in the same boat? What would make you change your mind?

    So I'm picking up a MacBook Pro 13 soon. Right now on the education store the are giving a pair of beats for free with a purchase of one. I have a pair of beats x right now. I'm wondering what people's oppinions on the beats solo and the Powerbeats 3.

    Side note, this is my first Mac and I haven't used one since I worked for a newspaper and they had a G5
