| Posted: 02 Aug 2018 04:49 PM PDT So here's a little backstory on this. My issue started on June 23rd. I recently sent out my iPhone X to get repaired by Apple since my whole display went dark after a bad fall to carpet. No damage externally, so probably a bad screen right? Well I took it to one of my local stores and the guy couldn't run diagnostics to see the display was bad, so it got sent to the depot. Once there, they had it for exactly a week and at the end of that week they claimed my phone hard 3rd party cameras... This was purchased in full through Sprint. So how can a factory sealed phone have 3rd party cameras? I disputed this and had my phone returned to me and got a CS code. (A CS code means they HAVE to replace your device since they did something wrong or claimed something that's untrue of how you handle your device.) It was sent back Friday June 29th, and I got it Monday the 2nd. This time I got back a totally unresponsive device. No charging, vibrating, or showing up in DFU on iTunes. Now it was an issue because it worked fine before it went to them. I could somehow still answer calls even though the display was black. I sent it back out on the 3rd of July, and I was told I wouldn't see it for another week again. We'll fast forward a week and I call because no progress had been made. ..........then they say they are having delays and I won't see it for three weeks or longer....... Now I'm really pissed. Fast forward another three weeks and still nothing. I call, and they told me "probably another two weeks." It has been almost a week since I placed that call and still nothing......... Pretty pissed off that I spent $1k on something I literally only got to use for 10 days before it took a crap on me. Is anyone else in a similar boat or has a similar experience? TDLR; Apple claimed I had 3rd party cameras when my display had gone bad. I disputed and was told a week the first time. Now they keep extending the repair and it's been broken for nearly a month and half now. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 02 Aug 2018 03:36 PM PDT Been using my X for almost a month now(came from iphone7), im on beta 12, noticed when I'm facetiming..person on the other end always states they can't see me after 5-10 seconds. Then I get on my macbook and facetime them with no problems, so must be the X. Anyone else have this issue when using facetime? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 02 Aug 2018 12:53 PM PDT Is anyone worried about dropping their phone and shattering the glass of the rear camera? I have a leather case and tempered glass screen protector, but I notice that the rear camera protrudes enough to make it nearly level with the case protection. If it were to hit a rock, the camera glass would definitely crack. has anyone gotten any rear camera glass protectors? Any they'd recommend? [link] [comments]  | ||
| iPhone doesn't block immediately Posted: 02 Aug 2018 01:50 AM PDT So I was messing around with Smart Invert and Color Filters and now whenever I block my iPhone pressing the side button it takes approximately 1 second to lock. | Posted: 02 Aug 2018 11:13 AM PDT Have had my iPhone X for 2 months. Sometimes when I'm typing and press the backspace button it doesn't work. It usually takes a few seconds and then it will start working again. It doesn't matter which app I'm in, it happens whenever the keyboard is out. Anyone else had this happen and/or have a fix for it? | Posted: 02 Aug 2018 09:29 AM PDT Right now I have the ESR clear case but I wanted to switch it up and get another clear case. The ones I have been looking at are the Peel, Caudabe and Tottalee clear cases. Anyone have experiences with these? If anyone can recommend any other cases that are thin and have atleast a little bit of a raised lip for the camera and the front screen that would be great. [link] [comments]  | ||
