Just remember in the future, when you're reporting a major bug, just sort by new. Chances are a lot of people have reported it.

Edit: This bug is fixed in Dev Beta 12, Public Beta 10

[Bug] Ringtone sounds much quieter after updating to beta 12

    Posted: 31 Aug 2018 09:50 AM PDT

After updating my iPhone X from iOS 12 beta 11 to beta 12, I noticed that when someone is calling me, my ringtone sounds pretty quiet, and my ringer is all the way up. When I go into Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone and click on mine, it plays normally/loud.

[Question] How do you force iMessage search to index messages after a restore?

    Posted: 31 Aug 2018 05:45 AM PDT

Sometimes I need to search for a date that was brought up or other important messages so I would search some keywords and find the message that way, search wasn't perfect but it did work.

After restoring from one of the betas that prevented future updates(3?) I can no longer search through any of my messages past like the day of the restore. I googled the issue and people suggested something to do with going into the Siri settings and cycling messages and restarting which I tried and it was not successful. The messages are still on my device, and iCloud but what's the point if I can't search through them? I tried scrolling all the way up through a messages thread but not even that would index the messages.

[Feature]? AirPods now automatically resume playback even when you only have one in

    Posted: 30 Aug 2018 03:11 PM PDT

I had one AirPod in my ear, I took it out, put it back in, and it automatically resumed playback. On iOS 11, it would never do this for me. It would only automatically resume playback when I had both AirPods in, took one out, and put it back in. Did anyone else notice this start happening after getting iOS 12, or was this a feature all along and for some reason it never worked till now?

EDIT: It has been confirmed by Brandon Butch that this indeed is a new feature in the iOS 12 betas. Check out minute 2:00 of his video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPKWhDA8kTA

[Bugs] IPhone Keyboard/Screen not working properly. Any advice?

    Posted: 31 Aug 2018 10:58 AM PDT

My keyboard/screen is currently its randomly clicking different letters (Ill push 's' and it will type 'ad' etc. Ive had to change some passwords just to get evade this). Ive tried reseting, restoring, etc and none of them work. Did the google keyboard work for you the second time around?

It didn't start happening until I tried to downgrade back to 11.4.1 - long story short, my phone crashed and had to restore from my 12.0 backup and ever since then my phone hasn't been accurately responsive. Ive tried factory resets and all.

I'm not only having issues with the keyboard, sometimes my screen will switch pages, randomly press on apps, etc, which is VERY annoying, Is this a bug from the beta, or just a problem with my phone? Any advice?

[Bug] Siri reads previously-seen messages when asked to read new texts

    Posted: 31 Aug 2018 10:01 AM PDT

Hey all, I've been having this issue since I first started running the iOS 12 beta. I figured it would resolve itself but it hasn't, and I haven't seen anyone else mention it... Anyway: when I ask Siri to read me texts/messages, she always reads a bunch (like 5-6) of previously-seen texts in a number of different conversations. Anyone had anything like this happen, or have any idea how to resolve it?

[Bugs] Stuck in one of the Public Betas, need help

    Posted: 31 Aug 2018 09:56 AM PDT

Hey everyone, I've been redirected from r/apple here with my problem, hopefully with your help it can be resolved.

I've installed the Public Beta to moment it came out, and had no issues up until last month.

Not sure why, but one day after a prompt of new Beta available, I discarded it to install in the evening, but when tried to do so I recieved this message in Software Update panel:

„Unable to check for Update. An error occured while checking for a software update. Cancel/Try again."

This is happening up until now.

What this problem brought with itself:

    • connectivity issues with Apple Watch (unable to download weather, Siri is unresponsive, issues with calls, notifications, and messages sync)

    What I tried to do:

    • Uninstalled beta profile. The system then says the current software (iOS 12.0) is the newest.
    • Installed it again, the problem persists.
    • Restored the iPhone to the first Beta build. The problem persists, and after repairing Apple Watch it seemed to fix its connectivity issues, at least to the point of watch restart, which brought all of them back.
    • Tried to update through iTunes (High Sierra 10.13.5), says it has the latest version of the system installed.

I do not have pre-beta backup available (I know, I know, but I don't mind clean install of 11.4 if it comes to that). It would be the best of course if there was any other way out of this pickle. Do you guys have any ideas what else can I try? What could be causing this? My head only points into some connectivity issues (Apple Watch), but thats as far as I can deduce.

If there is any place to check which public Beta I'm in, I can provide the info.

Any direction would help me a lot. Thanks!
