[discussion] iOS12 is far better than iOS11 :) Posted: 11 Aug 2018 09:48 AM PDT Ok, i know this is beta and a few bugs are still here but hear me out.
I'm genuinely amazed how apple pull this off and i think they'll improve it over the time. My one bank app is busted but i won't downgrade. I'm really happy how this panned out. I used several betas before but this is another level of good!!! [link] [comments]

[BUG] Photo sharing suggests sharing with myself Posted: 11 Aug 2018 06:58 AM PDT The sharing suggestions in the For You tab of the photos app tells me to share pics with myself, which I find very annoying. Anyone else noticed that issue? [link] [comments]

[Bugs] Screen Time shows wrong device name Posted: 11 Aug 2018 08:12 AM PDT I just jump into the beta wagon for iOS 12 and installed on both my iPhone and my iPad, I changed the device name of both of them and on screen time when you hit all devices it doesn't show the correct name of my devices, I was wondering if this was happening to somebody else and if someone knows how to fix it, I know is not a mayor bug or anything and I am just nitpicking but I want it to show the correct names [link] [comments]
Posted: 11 Aug 2018 07:26 AM PDT First of all, I know.. It's a beta. But if I would have known that iCloud backups didn't work, even though it said it did, I would never have enrolled in the beta program. I installed public beta in the middle of july. A while after that I started to get "unable to check for updates" when I tried to install the latest public beta. Apps would not download either and got stuck on "Waiting...". I did a reset of my network settings, hard reboot, tried different wifi, 3g, 4g etc. I removed the beta profile and added it again. Nothing worked. Yesterday when I got home from my vacation I did a complete iCloud backup, just like I do every night. I did a factory reset, installed latest iOS public beta and restored from iCloud backup. After the restore had completed I noticed that I was missing photos, videos and iMessage history from the last 8 days. I looked on my MacBook Pro and iPad and photos and videos was missing there as well. Nothing after 3 of august on icloud.com either. So, if you're on the public beta, then do not trust iCloud backups. Remember to backup locally as well. [link] [comments]
[Discussion] For anyone having an issue updating to developer beta 6 or public beta 5 Posted: 10 Aug 2018 10:13 PM PDT I've been on the betas since the IOS 7 release, and ever since you were able to update OTA, this is the first time I've had an issue update wise. I've tried searching the subreddit for answers, but I found none, so I hope this helps someone. If you're getting the "Unable to check for update", all you have to do is delete your beta profile, back up to iCloud, and then reset your phone and start as a new iPhone. Download the beta profile again, and then check for the update. It will be there. I dealt with the slow app downloads and apps crashing for too long while on developer beta 5. I hope this helps someone. And yes I did know I could use a computer and iTunes to accomplish the same thing. I don't always have a laptop at the ready, so finding a fix without having to use a computer was the goal. [link] [comments] |
