Hey there everyone! Exciting time to be an Apple Watch fan, don't you think? Thank you to everyone to joining the giveaway! Unfortunately, not everyone can win, but we hope the 3 winners chosen at random can enjoy their prize! Big shout out again to Clockwork Synergy! The giveaway wouldn't be possible without them! And to those of you that didn't win, hopefully discount code for 15% off on their website "redditapple15" tides you over!

Now onto the meat of it: the winners. Minus replies to top level comments, we had ~345 entries! But like I said, there can only be three, so a huge congratulations to our winners:

    /u/iNullistic
    /u/redjack63
    /u/achilleshightops

(Side note: if any of the above users are harassed about the band, and we receive evidence as such, you will be permanently banned from the subreddit. This is included but not limited to: asking for the band, asking to be sold the band, or asking them to put your details instead).

The three of you will receive a mod mail, just to confirm some things, and then we'll put you into contact with Clockwork Synergy!

Those with an S2 watch, is the larger screen of the S4 enough to tempt you?

    Posted: 31 Aug 2018 02:44 AM PDT

Assuming there are no other major changes, i.e. no new sensors, and it's a bigger screen, more powerful CPU and several other minor changes, will you upgrade?

    Best place to resell watch?

    Posted: 31 Aug 2018 09:22 AM PDT

    Hi Reddit,

With the new Series 4 leak, it has fully convinced me to jump on board with the new redesign. However, I currently own a LTE Nike Series 3 that I don't want to turn into a paperweight. Before the Series 4 releases, where is the best place to resell my watch? Thank you so much!

Has Macy's (online or in store) historically sold the new Series releases of Apple Watches at launch?

    Posted: 31 Aug 2018 09:11 AM PDT

I have a gift card for a large amount at Macy's and noticed they currently sell the Series 3. With the impending announcement of the Series 4, I am planning to buy it at Macy's if I can.

In the past have they specifically sold the Apple Watch new models at the same time as all the other retailers at launch?

Is there a way to have dnd on overnight, but also see notifications in the morning?

    Posted: 31 Aug 2018 07:02 AM PDT

I'm trying to use my phone less. I also sleep with my watch for sleep tracking. I'd like to have it silent overnight, but display notifications in the morning in notification center.

Currently, I sleep with theatre mode, DND, and silent mode on. This works great for sleep: nothing wakes me. But, then in the morning I see no notifications that came overnight; I have to go to my phone for those.

I think if I leave DND off, then I will get haptics and maybe even phone calls. Is there any other workaround? On my iphone notifications behave how I want: if DND is on, the notifications still show up in notification center, they just don't alert me.

    Posted: 31 Aug 2018 04:05 AM PDT

So I recently bought a screen protector for my watch series 3 but I'm not sure whether I can put it in water, does anyone know?

For example, if I go swimming in the pool, would the water get in the protector and then make it fall or something?

What are your favorite complications while on vacation?

    Posted: 30 Aug 2018 06:29 PM PDT

    Hello folks,

I'll be going on a vacation soon and have been thinking about how to get the most out of my watch while abroad. I've read this excellent article to get some ideas for complications to use: https://www.wareable.com/apple/best-apple-watch-faces-2332 , but I'd love to hear your thoughts too.

I've gotten some good ideas there - right now I'm using the modular face with the time, date, world clock (to see what time it is back home), Dark Sky, and iTranslate. My middle complication is App in the Air, but that won't be very useful once we're on the ground, so I'd really appreciate any ideas you fine folks might have for complications while on vacation. Thanks!

Anyone else suspect the invitation may end up revealing a new sensor under the watch?

    Posted: 31 Aug 2018 04:47 AM PDT

I have long been a fan of AW's sensor potential for biometrics. I wonder if the circle is a new sensor under the watch - maybe for pulseOx (blood glucose is coming, but doubtful this year) or better heart tracking.

One Day with Apple Watch Series 1 Silver Stainless Steel

    Posted: 30 Aug 2018 09:24 PM PDT

One Day with Apple Watch Series 1 Silver Stainless Steel

This year is my second year of using Apple Watch. I still remember that it was not long before I graduated. I also worked as an intern in a bank. I got the long-awaited Apple Watch Series 1. It is my first smart watch~ I still remember that price has surpassed my one-month internship salary. Later, in April last year, I got the Apple Watch Series 2 black. Since then, I have really like the feel of stainless steel of the watch. So, in February of this year, I flight to Hong Kong just for today's today's protagonist,–Apple Watch Series 3 silver stainless steel (cellular version).

    Some picture

    https://i.redd.it/43jfjj1cucj11.png

    https://i.redd.it/u4pyt8pcucj11.png

Ummm, The reason I went to Hong Kong for my watch because I valued the frequency bands it supports. It can be used in many countries (except mainland China). People like the captain who love to play everywhere are simply perfect. 2018 to Southeast Asia, 2019 to Japan, 2020 to Western Europe, 2021 to North America.

Actually, all of this, only in the plan. What a sad story... Enough joking, let's getting into the subject.

Part 1 A new day begins

    6:30am

I was awakened by the gentle alarm of Apple Watch + the Tapic Engine of Apple Watch, but I still want to sleep.

    https://i.redd.it/90efb1dducj11.png

    7:00am

The Apple Watch alarm rung again, and the air conditioner automatically turned off. Ok, it's time to get up, I have to catch the bus to go to work at 7:50. What is the weather like today? Turn my wrist and look at the weather forecast, Ummm, 27 to 33 degrees, but the air quality is OK.

    https://i.redd.it/uzinwtzducj11.png

    7:40 am

Put on the washing Apple Watch after washing for 15 minutes, it already charge from 93% to 99% . The bus is still 10 minutes away, let's run!!

    7:51 am

Bus No. 825 appeared in front of me on time, double-click the power button of Apple Watch, call out ApplePay, get on the bus.

    https://i.redd.it/ozi38oneucj11.png

    8:00 am

The next stop is the TTI factory, my . Double click the power button again, close to the card reader, DI, get off.

    8:15 am

Arrive at the office and see what I need to do today. "Hey, Siri, check my schedule today." "Okay, here is your schedule today." I am going to teach a new employee training course this morning. Today, after work, I have to take the subway to buy some food in the city.

    8:45 am

Hey, Apple Watch reminds me that there are 15 minutes from the lecture, um, it's time to go to the training room for the final preparations.

    12:00 noon

Hey, Apple Watch reminds me that it's time to drink more water.

    13:10 PM

Hey, Apple Watch recommends taking a three-minute deep breath to relax, well, take a break, open the breath app, and start to empty myself.

    https://i.redd.it/v1ncyjffucj11.png

    https://i.redd.it/ynuzh23gucj11.png

    14:50 PM

Hey, Apple Watch pops up a sedentary reminder, look at the time, wow, I have been sitting at the office for 50 minutes without standing up, I have to take a walk for 5mintues, or I can't finish today's activity task~

    17:15 PM

Stretching a little, today's work is finally completed, and I will get off work on time~

Part 2 great!, get off work~

    19:10 at night

Arrive at the subway station, double-click the power button, call out Applepay, close to the gate, successfully pass the gate~

    https://i.redd.it/r1u34owgucj11.png

    19:40 at night

Arriving at the destination and picking up tomorrow's breakfast, go to the cashier to pay the bill ~ "Hello, a total of XX , how to pay?" "Oh, Applepay please thank you." "Sorry, our credit card machine is broken." "Ummm, How about Alipay?" Open the Alipay online payment code on the Apple Watch, the payment is successful! "Wow, handsome, this watch is so cool~" "Oh it just for the convenience." With the lovely eyesight of Miss Cashier, I left silently.

    https://i.redd.it/060y8ixhucj11.png

Part 3 Dragging my tired body back home

    21:00 at night

Wear Airpods, "Hey, Siri, play music", excellent sound quality and beautiful music, let the tired body get spiritual relaxation, glance at Apple Watch, the power is still 58% left, um~ This power can still be used for one day~ But I still going to gently put it on the charger

    22:30 at night

The battery is full, bring Apple Watch, go to bed~ see how many things will happen tomorrow, sleep.

    https://i.redd.it/whozlviiucj11.png

    Postscript

In fact, I always wanted to write such a "bookkeeping" experience text to help people who want to buy a smart watch but can't find a article on the network about the use of the smart watch in daily life. I actually found a question about is this morning, but there is only a few short answer.

I hope that after the questioner sees my article, he can decide whether to buy a smart watch based on his own actual life~

If you want to choose, and your mobile phone is Iphone, don't worry about other brands. Apple Watch is the best smart watch at present, and it is also the best one with Iphone. The products of Android Wear are dazzling, but in the past few years, not a single good product appeared. It is not difficult to explain that why can Apple Watch dominant the smart watch industry. The sound health monitoring function, the perfect life assistant role, and the city bus system where I am located have already opened ApplePay. Of course, if you really want to buy, don't buy the Hong Kong version for the cheaper price and imaginary convenience, because although Apple Watch supports a lot of frequency bands, but you must have to have a local number to get the cellular function work.

Thanks for your reading. You can click here to get more product reviews.

Looking for an accountability tracking app?

    Posted: 30 Aug 2018 08:52 PM PDT

I'm in college and I want to keep track of my attendance in each class, to be aware of how many classes I miss, if any.

The only ones I've been able to find that are semi-workable are Productive Habit Tracker and Teal Tallies and Countdowns. The thing is, as a student money is obviously tight and I don't want to pay for these apps if I'm not totally, completely sure they will fit my needs. Anyone have suggestions? I'm very new to the Apple Watch world, so if I'm just being naive, forgive me.
