| AppleTV 4k : Starts with Pink opaque screen Posted: 08 Aug 2018 04:23 AM PDT After Appletv starts it shows an opaque Pink screen. When I scroll through menu can hear sounds of menu navigation however unable to play with setting as its an opaque pink screen. Tried disconnected and connecting HDMI cable bother from Appletv and my Yamaha receiver still same issue. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Apple TV 4 Gen Doesn’t connect to the Internet Posted: 07 Aug 2018 08:07 PM PDT None of my apps were and it was saying that I wasn't connected to the internet so I reset my router and modem and it fixed nothing so I disconnected my Ethernet cable and tried to connect via WiFi and my Apple TV kept saying that my Ethernet was connected and wouldn't let me change to WiFi so I restarted the Apple TV and I can't connect to the internet through my iPhone or manually with or without an Ethernet cable. I have a wall mounted TV with preinstalled surround sound speakers in the walls in my new apartment. I have an Apple TV 4 (not 4K) and I do not use cable. The only cord that I can plug in behind the wall to my TV is an HDMI, which I currently run behind the wall and into my Apple TV. I want to utilize the surround sound. I need a receiver to configure the speakers. What I need to know is what type of receiver to invest in, in order to watch all my content from my Apple TV and use the surround sound with just HDMI cords. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks! Both u/PrettySlickShit and I are trying to work with the admins to resolve this. I have made a request to try to get it unbanned on the RedditRequest subreddit. If you guys could show your support it would be greatly appreciated. It truly does sadden me and I hope the admins change their mind, we grew from 50 subscribers first day created, to 2.8k subscribers present. | Posted: 06 Aug 2018 08:31 PM PDT I have an Apple TV connected to my Sony Receiver that is connected to my TV. The ATV will turn on the receiver and TV however when putting ATV to sleep it turns the receiver off but not the TV. TV is Samsung with Anyconnect+ Receiver is Sony Turning on and off my Xbox one controls everything just fine so I know the capability is there and the issue isn't the TV or Receiver I have tried every option I can find on both with no success. | Best available sound with 3 speakers Posted: 06 Aug 2018 12:59 PM PDT I have two speakers attached to my tv and thus my Apple TV 4. Now i added a Homepod and fiddled around with the sound settings. When using 'best available' it uses the Homepod for something. Sound is weird, like an extra sound channel. Which 5.1 channel exactly is routed to the Homepod? Would be neat if one could assign it as Subwoofer or centre speaker. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Video and audio cut out for a second in Netflix Posted: 06 Aug 2018 10:57 AM PDT The screen goes black and the audio cuts out for about a second. It seems to happen about a couple minutes into watching a video and then not again unless I leave the Netflix app and come back. So far I haven't noticed it on any other apps such as Plex or Prime Video. This is on an Apple TV 4K, I have a high speed 4K HDMI cable and it works with the 4:4:4 subsampling, but I've even turned it down to 4:2:0 and the issue still persists.
