Apple's Upcoming 6.5-Inch OLED 'iPhone X Plus' to Support iPad-Style Landscape Mode Posted: 31 Jul 2018 01:07 PM PDT |
Posted: 31 Jul 2018 04:37 PM PDT After first being 50 50 on whether or not it was useful or just a gimmick I've realised that it is a really innovative and useful tool. It's elegant too. The way it works contextually depending on what app or programme you are using is clever. And if you use it for work like Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro it is incredibly useful with a whole range if useful shortcuts right in front of you that are time saving. It's not perfect and has some short comings but on balance it definitely is an advanced and useful piece of kit. [link] [comments] |

Whos still using a Macbook Pro 2011 or older? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 06:15 PM PDT I'm still running the 13" MBP late 2011, with a little extra RAM. Thinking of upgrading soon just simply because it's been struggling to even perform simple things like opening activty monitor, and getting super hot from watching videos/streams. Anyone comfortably on the same or older MBP today? [link] [comments] |

2018 15” MacBook Pro pop sound from speakers Posted: 31 Jul 2018 05:07 PM PDT I have a new 2018 MacBook Pro 15" the i7 512gb model. I had one that was constantly making a popping sound from the speakers when playing video so I returned it and got a new one. I am still getting popping sounds (less frequently) mainly when stopping video or switching videos in YouTube or Netflix. I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this or if it's a known issue? Macbook Pro Accessories questions and recommendations. Posted: 31 Jul 2018 08:19 PM PDT I recently picked up a 13" MacBook Pro w/ Touch Bar and am planning to use it for school and recreational use. However for now I have only used it around the house and would like to either put it in a protective case or in a sleeve for transportation in-between classes and in the event of a drop. Does anyone have any recommendations that they are using or have used? Also looking for recommendations on USB-c hubs. [link] [comments] |
Question for those of you on iOS 12 Beta: Siri Shortcuts...how do they work? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 03:12 PM PDT I am also on the beta and I can create shortcuts that are already ready to go, but I can't seem to create my own like advertised. Just wondering if this because it is still in development or I'm missing something obvious? [link] [comments] |
MBP 13" 2018 for app/web development Posted: 31 Jul 2018 10:17 AM PDT I really like the form factor of 13" and would like to a developers perspective of using this device. How does the 13" fair in development work? I would essentially be buying a Mac to make iOS apps. Should I go with the 15" version or the 13"? [link] [comments] |
Free Obscura 2 camera app (may be US only) Posted: 31 Jul 2018 06:07 AM PDT "Apple Store" app, discover tab, scroll down. https://i.imgur.com/TAy5HYP.jpg Edit: looks like it's not US only, but may be hit or miss. Be sure you're looking in the "Apple Store" app, vice the App Store. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 31 Jul 2018 10:08 AM PDT I've heard that Ublock is the best adblocker for Safari but I can't seem to find any decent download links. If someone could provide a link to a good adblocker I'd be very happy. Also, if the downloade demands more than just a "click and download" I'd appreciate a tutorial. [link] [comments] |

Apple Releases Fourth Beta of macOS Mojave to Public Beta Testers Posted: 31 Jul 2018 09:00 PM PDT |
Posted: 01 Aug 2018 12:02 AM PDT Hi guys, I've had my iPhone X since release, but just in the last couple of days it's started beeping randomly. Each time, it's two quick high pitched beeps, they're the same pitch. It's really annoying and I'm worried something is wrong, I've been using iPhones since the iPhone 4s and I've never experienced this before. As far as I can tell it only happens when I'm using it, and I've been texting every time it has happened. I'm also using an otterbox defender case and it happens when I'm charging and when it's not charging. I don't have any software or app updates waiting either, I've googled it several time and couldn't find any problems matching this description, but still tried to solve it using the suggestions on similar topics, no luck. TIA! [link] [comments] |
MacBook Pro constantly repeating charging sound Posted: 31 Jul 2018 02:53 PM PDT It's a new MacBook Pro, just got it yesterday. I plug it in and roughly every 2 minutes it repeats the charging sound. Any reason for this to happen? [link] [comments] |
