Updates on Aperture alternatives Posted: 24 Jul 2018 01:30 AM PDT As of today, does anybody have a good Aperture alternative? Possibly different from Lightroom I heard some time ago that Affinity was working on something? [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Jul 2018 06:09 PM PDT Here are the ads I get on a regular basis. I've had problems with malware on previous Mac device so I don't want to repeat my foolish mistake again with my new computer. All answers welcome, thank you! [link] [comments]
Safari not displaying my bank website correctly. Need some help. Posted: 23 Jul 2018 03:44 PM PDT I can't seem to view my bank's website correctly on Safari Version 11.1.2 (13605.3.8). I have disabled all my extensions, cleared the history and cache. I even tried the Safari Technology preview and the results were the same. Using Chrome (or Firefox) displays it correctly. Does anyone have any suggestions that may help? I'm running macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G65). I provided photos of the Safari and Chrome windows. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]

Different way to password protect a folder? (without disk utility) Posted: 23 Jul 2018 02:15 AM PDT I'm looking for a way to password protect couple folders on my desktop. I know im being picky but disk utility way is little aesthetically unpleasing, as in it requires two icons for the same folder and needs manually ejecting. What i want to accomplish is simply double clicking the folder, entering password and Voilà . Then when i close the folder it would lock back up. Note : I'm not necessarily looking to encrypt it or make it "hacker" proof. I have FileVault, strong user password and firmware password set up already and I don't leave my unlocked computer around. This would be just a way to make sure a nosy friend wouldn't "misclick" a.k.a. snoop around when i pop in to bathroom, for example. [link] [comments]

Whacky screen issue solved by booting Anamorphic.app Posted: 23 Jul 2018 09:46 AM PDT Mojave Public Beta 3. Mac Pro 12 core 5,1. Sapphire r9 290x. Upon booting up or rebooting, the screen dances like crazy with horizontal lines UNTIL I boot the app Anamorphic and the sample image fully loads. Quite Anamorphic and it dances again. Any thoughts? What's the magic Anamorphic is doing, OR, what's the solvable problem it's solving? Alternatively, if I unplug the monitor cable and replug it the dancing will stop. [link] [comments]
Weird QuickTime bug when zooming in, anyone else have this? Photos in the post. Posted: 23 Jul 2018 05:40 AM PDT QuickTime works fine when it's playing on a window / full screen, but when I zoom in whilst in fullscreen, the screen glitches out. Anyone else have this problem? [link] [comments] |
