    So far so good. Still getting used to the controls, like not having the back button on the bottom left and multitasking on the right but I'll get used to it and also

    iPhone SE on latest iOS getting slower at picking up network connections when switching between cells or access points...

    Anyone else noticing this? Switching from WiFi to LTE or back again used to be near-instant provided Internet connectivity was available on whichever backhaul I switch to. But lately it can take several minutes to pick up.

    Handling of calls can be tricky too. Do I just have bad signal where I am regularly haunting or is there a wider issue creeping in?

    Why does my iPhone X change the fonts of some select words?

    I've noticed that some words get changed through autocorrect. The two I've noticed are "𝐅𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲" and "𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞." Has anyone else had this happen with these or other words? I don't have any shortcut presets or anything.

    What paid apps do you highly recommend and why?

    Title. App discovery threads are ok, but not a lot of great recommendations other than the obvious ones.

    I have about £40 in app store credit and looking to beef up my phone a bit haha.

    So far, I've bought Dark Sky, Halide, Pocket Casts, Screens, Shazam Encore and TuneIn Radio Pro

    Software updates not being available over cellular

    I have an unlimited data tariff - there really ought to be the option of doing iOS updates over cellular if you want to, not an absolute block.

    Especially for smaller updates.

    Or am I wrong?

    How do I stop Comcast from injecting pop ups into safari browser?

    Getting data cap warnings. It's causing some web pages not to load in safari, even after I close the pop up. Is there anyway I can stop this with an app, setting, or at the router level?

    Bought a used phone with activation lock. Is my phone a brick and was a cheated?

    As the title would suggest I bought a used iphone only to discover that it has an activation lock on it. I thought I did my due diligence to prevent this but apparently that is not the case. I have tried to get in touch with the seller but I have not heard back and I doubt that I will. Is there any way to get past this that isn't temporary or is the phone I bought worthless? Any help and advice is appreciated

    Best weather app? Also, is Carrot Weather a good weather app or more of a gimmick?

    iPhone 6 battery life

    I have an iPhone 6 running iOS 11.4.1 and recently had my battery changed (it's been 10 days now). My usage has come from mostly browsing Reddit and texting, as well as a bit of Twitter. This was only over WiFI and pretty low brightness too, about 20% I'd say. I feel like I'm getting excessive battery drain overnight/during standby too. Two nights ago, I lost 10% in 8 hours roughly and last night I lost 7% in low power mode. I've just been wondering if how long I'm lasting is normal. And what the rest of you guys are getting as well.

    Lost photos from hidden album

    So I was on vacation with some friends recently and I took many compromising pictures that I did hide.

    I recently noticed that my hidden album was empty, all pictures and videos were gone. But yesterday, I don't know why but some of them magically reappeared.

    How can I recover these pictures please ?

    iPhone6 scrolling/making selections on it's own

    Over the course of the last month I've consistently had issues with my phone scrolling on it's own, it will make selections on screen without touching it, texting is hard to do. It happens with individual applications (severely twitter/reddit) and the home screen. I've reformatted a few times but I do restore from a backup, tried it on IOS11, the .3, .4, 12beta. It consistently reappears. The device has been well cared for, never dropped to the the point where it'd have damage, haven't had to shut down because of heat etc. I've been the only owner and it has worked well up until last month. I've read of touch disease but understand Apple says that only applies to 6Plus.

    Does anyone have any ideas on what I can try? Holding out til the new ones are announced but unsure if I can make it another month and a half, its barely useable

    Exporting photos to Mac and then importing them back. Will they go to the Camera Roll?

    Hi, guys.

    I want to reset my phone. It has a lot of "Other" stuff bloating my storage, and I can't get rid of it even with app-by-app analysis in the Storage section.

    So the fastest and simplest idea I've came up with was nuking the phone.

    The only thing I don't have backed up in iCloud are my photos (too many of them, 5GB iCloud isn't enough). So I thought that I could do this:

    Export all pics to Photos in Mac > Reset the phone using iTunes > Back up from iCloud > Import all photos from Mac to iPhone using iTunes.

    My only question is: will the pics go to the Camera Roll or there will be created another album?

    iPhone X screen flicker

    My screen has been flickering when I use it in landscape mode or tap the top of it to move to the top of a page. Has anyone else had any similar problems? It has also been vibrating and auto-reading messages so I don't get notifications from one contact, thanks for any help!

    iPhone 7 known "searching for service" bug

    So for those of you who are unaware, 3 model numbers of the iPhone 7 have a catastrophic bug that causes the phone to lose the ability to connect to the network. Apple is aware of the problem, but all they will do about it is replace it with a refurbished iPhone 7 of the same models that are known to have the bug. So basically if you dont live in an area with an apple store you have to send your phone it, wait two weeks, and the they send you one that will probably stop working again in a couple months. (we are currently negotiating for a 3rd phone and were told apple can't guarantee the replacement phone wont be one of the models with the bug, but we could buy a new phone through an early upgrade program). this all seems like a huge fucking scam to force people into buying new phones, and we have had enough. I think customers who have been affected by this should start considering a class action lawsuit against Apple. has anyone else had issues with this?

    Dropped phone on water

    Accidently dropped my iphone 6 on the sink today. Went full panicked mode and took it out pf the water as soon as possible. Dried it out and turned it on to see of it was ok and worked fine until a couple minutes later it started acting odd. Being ignorant on this situatio as its my first time dropping a phone on water didnt turn it off. Suddenly the phone turns off on itself while it was 34%. What should i do?

    [Question] Looking for tips from users of the "Lapse It" app

    Greetings, programs!

    I'm currently using the free version, which I only downloaded last Saturday because I was hoping to document the building of the new Lego Voltron figure that I had bought for myself as a belated birthday present.

    I have a 5s with 16Gb, so I cleared all my music off before starting, because I wasn't sure how many frames per second, what resolution, how any of what I was trying to do would (or wouldn't) eat up the 10 Gb I had available.

    I ended up choosing 5 second intervals at 420p, and this seemed to work, but I don't know how Lapse It stores the data outside of zipping the file before uploading it to iTunes.

    The build of the entire Lego Voltron took about 3 hours. Is that even possible for me to record with this device? I only did the first lion because I didn't want the program to run out of memory and stop before I was finished.

    I guess what I'm wondering is: how can I determine how much GB is needed based on still intervals, resolution and potential length?

    I'd love to be able to do this again, and do it better, but it's kind of overwhelming at this point trying to digest so much data.
