    I'm looking to purchase an iPad to complement a MBP for study purposes. There are a lot of posts here asking to compare the two, but I am wondering specifically about the screen. For context, the iPad will be used predominantly for handwriting notes for a large exam roughly two years from now- I don't trust my organizational skills enough to just use pen and paper.

    I will be indoors, under lights, most of the time while I am using it. For my purposes, I don't need the extra power of the pro, but if the screen minimizes eye fatigue to a substantial degree, it may be worth going with it. I've played around with both in the Apple store, and can see the difference when the screens are compared side to side; but I'm not sure how big of a deal this will make in daily use. For those who have used both, has the laminated screen been very apparent? Has it improved your experience?

    Ipad 3 Retina Display vs New Ipad 2018 Screen

    Hey all,

    Seems like my ipad 3 home button is beginning to bite the dust which leads me to believe it might be time to replace with a new ipad. I was looking at the 10.5 IPP or the new IPAD 2018, However as well as everyone else i was hoping to wait for a new announcement for ipads this fall.

    My question is can anybody compare the Retina display of the IPAD 3 to the New IPAD 2018? Is there a huge difference in quality? I will assume the screen quality of the IPP will be substantial but is there an improvement in screen quality from the ipad 3 to the 2018 ipad?

    Looking to buy a new iPad!

    I've had my iPad 2 since day one and for the past few years it's just been sitting in my closet collecting dust. I'm about to start college and have heard tremendous things about taking notes on an iPad with an Apple Pencil. My first question is do any of you do that? If so do you like how it feels compared to pen and paper? Second, is it worth it to buy an iPad now or wait until their event in September to see if they release a new one or not?

    Handwriting keyboard

    Hi everyone,

    I'm a heavy user of the handwriting keyboard provided on my Galaxy Tab 3 tablet and I'm struggling to find something similar for Apple Pencil. MyScript Stylus had been retired from the Apple Store, meaning that no app is currently adequate. Do you guys have any idea of how could I find something that works ? Even Gboard doesn't have the handwriting option he had on my Android tablet.

    iPad doesn’t go away from iCloud.com

    Hi

    I sold my iPad and deleted it from my iCloud.com. The new owner was able to activate it with his account, but when I look at iCloud.com the iPad is still listed. Any idea how to make it go away?

    It's no longer listed in the iCloud settings of any of my Apple devices or at the Apple ID management site.

    I've deleted other devices in the past with no problem.

    Ipad 6th gen (2018) 32gb or 128gb?

    Hey redditors, specifically those who own the 6th gen iPad with the 32gb... Given that this iPad has pencil support, as a student who uses the iPad for note taking and such, do you regret buying the 32gb version? I'm contemplating between the 2 choices and I'm wondering if 32gb will suffice. I'm holding off on the 128gb cause it's a big price jump in Malaysia, and I still have to consider buying the pencil too. Honestly wish they would sell the pencil and the iPad in one package instead of selling it separately.

    iOS 11 message badges

    I'm using iPad 6th(2018) running iOS 11.4.1. When my iPad receives messages,it won't show up badges on the app icon before I read the message. Even I have turned on badge on the notification setting,it still couldn't work. I want to make sure whether it is iOS 11 bug or my iPad's problem.

    Red notification badge not showing up for iMessage

    For some reason my notifications have stopped appearing for iMessage. I will get the banner when my iPad is unlocked, but when it is locked nothing shows up; I also don't get the red badge on the app icon anymore.

    I'm on a new 2018 iPad 6th generation, with the most recent iOS 11 update.

    Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    Found my dad's old 2nd gen iPad. It's running iOS 9.5.3 and is really slow. I really only want to use it for a game or two and Netflix/HBO. Will updating to a newer OS improve performance? Should I just restore it?

    Ipad 2018 Price Drop Question

    I am planning to buy the ipad 2018 version with the Apple Pencil for school but I was wondering whether I should wait until September when the new ipad pro comes out or just buy the ipad 2018 now. Will there be a price drop for the ipad 2018 when the ipad pro does come out or is it too recent of a model and different lines? Thanks in advance
