| Music App and selecting “on iPhone” not working? Posted: 21 Jul 2018 11:10 AM PDT This is for when I select songs in the "On iPhone" section. If I select a playlist, it will just play a random song, not on shuffle, and won't have anything up next. It's just that one song over and over. Or, most of the time, it won't even play a song at all. If I select an album, it just won't play, and if I select a song, it'll just play the first song alphabetically. I do have songs synced to my watch, and those work just fine. Anybody else get these issues? Also, we should have a pinned support or general questions thread, I really feel like this post isn't worthy of it's own thread. edit: I should add that I just got my watch yesterday, it's a series 3, latest watchOS, and iPhone 7, latest iOS, which I've had for about a year and a half. | Posted: 21 Jul 2018 06:37 PM PDT I've had the Zagg tempered glass screen protector replaced 3 times on my AWS3 and I'm considering having what's remaining on the watch removed and not replaced. They are too fragile and it's getting old having to go the the kiosk in the mall to have them replaced. Here are a couple combos I have tried: Watch/strava/Polar H7 HRM - No vo2/max Watch/strava/internal hrm - vo2/max logged It seems I can only get a vo2/max when using the internal hrm, Does anyone get vo2/max when running and using external hrm and if so what model? | How to make notifications vibrate on watch but not make a sound on the phone Posted: 21 Jul 2018 03:49 PM PDT I'm trying to set up my watch so that notifications vibrate on my watch, but do not make a sound on my phone or watch. This is possible for most apps, but for some of them (like Instagram) I can't make it work. Some iOS apps (like Instagram) don't have an Apple Watch app, so the only Apple-watch-specific notification controls are to mirror iPhone alerts, or not. It turns out when the "sounds" property (in iOS notification settings) is turned off, then the notification won't vibrate on Apple Watch. This is sort of a stupid undocumented feature but it's consistent. The problem is Instagram doesn't use the default iOS notification sound (which I've changed to silent) and doesn't let you change it. So I'm faced with a choice of (1) having Instagram notifications make a sound on my phone, or (2) having instagram notifications not vibrate on my wrist, which sort of defeats the purpose of a notification, or (3) muting all sounds on the iPhone (which I actually don't want - I just want notifications muted). | Series 3 not recording swimming workouts Posted: 21 Jul 2018 11:35 AM PDT For the past two days, my Apple Watch hasn't been recording my swimming workouts properly. I'll start the workout, and by the time i get to the other end of the pool, the watch has retreated back to my watch face. I'll do the water unlock and the timer will still be running but it hasn't tracked any of my laps or yards swam nor my calories. I'll even try to pause my workout with the Digital Crown and other button but it continues to run while still not recording any type of metric besides time. I did an elliptical workout this morning and it worked perfectly. This problem is only two days old and very frustrating. I've even turned off my watch and turned it back on. Any help would be appreciated. An update: I've noticed something. When I start my workout, obviously the watch isn't in the water. But the instant I put it in the water, the workout app closes and takes me to the watch face. I've recreated that about 30 times. I'll do a lot of swimming-like arm movements out of the water and everything's fine. But when I put it in the water even for a second, it retreats to the watch face. [link] [comments]  | ||
