    Have a messed up charger and I didn't charge my mini apple ipad for over 1 week. I used my friend's charger and charged it for the whole day but I does not switch on. Before the battery drainage it was working well. PLEASE HELP

    YouTube scrolling error, on 11.4.1 iPhone 7plus.

    So i can't remember when it happened but for the last few months I've noticed if i am scrolling through the comments the YouTube app will freeze so i can no longer scroll..... i have to force close the entire app, minimize the video, or force close the video in order to scroll again. Is anyone else having this problem? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restore my setting, and factory reset. Not really sure what's going on.

    Night shift causes phone to slow down in game.

    Hello,

    I'll be playing a game around 12am on phone while in bed and night shift will kick in. This causes my phone to drop sharply in frame rate until I turn it off.

    Is there a setting that could cause this, or is it a bug?

    iPhone 7.

    Any way to remove the grey bar from the keyboard?

    just got the X, and was wondering if I could remove the grey bar (with the globe) icon from my keyboard? I'm moving from an S8+ to this phone and the screen size is a massive downgrade, and that bar just takes away that much more screen real estate. I'm using the Google keyboard (gboard)

    Help with first ios app

    Hey guys,

    I've been having quite a fair amount of free time and I was wondering what to do to make it something usefull from it.

    I'm playing this game (looter-shooter type) and I was thinking to myself there should be a better way to manage the inventory. So I thought... There should be an app for that, but nope...there's none.

    I'm currently downloading Xcode on my mac and I've made a small mockup of what I want. Basically it sounds like just a table with some item names, a plus and minus button, and background color changing based on the numbers (greater, smaller, equal, etc…).

    Does anyone have a tip on how to get started with the coding? Not a big expert, I know and understand coding to a certain point. Below is the mockup/draft of what I want to achieve.

    I like to shoot time lapses on my iPhone and sometimes I put them on Instagram and it would be extra nice to be able to add some music to them.

    The thing is I use Spotify for music so the only option to get the music is to use the native screen recorder in iOS which works great.

    Next step is to merge the two videos; the screen recording and the time lapse.

    iMovie let's me do exactly what I need; separate the soundtrack and the video of the screen recording and keep the soundtrack only while adding it to the time lapse.

    However, iMovie only operates in a 16:9 landscape frame and when adding vertical video it's placed in the middle with black bars at the sides and the resolution of the vertical video is greatly reduced.

    So while apple realizes that iMovie for iOS should have an adjustable frame I need an alternative.

    Any ideas?

    Used to be able to tether to iPhone from iPad without actually enabling hotspot on iphone

    Whenever I tethered my iPad to my iPhone I would just go into settings, then to WiFi and i would find my iPhone even though the "hotspot" feature was turned off on the phone. It was clearly sort of a convenience feature for two devices that were linked to the same account and you didn't even need a password to tether. I imagine the iPad would find the iPhone via Bluetooth or something, and essentially set up the tethering connection so you wouldn't have to dig your phone out of your pocket or wherever it's at to enable tethering. Obviously both devices would need to be on the same account. However, that feature seems to have stopped working, and now I have to go enable tethering, then connect to it with a password. Anyone know what happened?

    Apple maps supersedes route decisions

    Have noticed repeatedly that when I pick a route in Apple maps, the app guides me to a different route than the one I picked. I will pick a route and choose no thanks when offered a faster route, and then drive and follow the directions via Siri. Suddenly I'm approaching the on ramp to the highway I specifically avoided. What gives? How do I fix this without folding to google? Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix I'm otherwise missing?

    [QUESTION] Forward Gmail to iCloud. How can I have it show my gmail email instead of iCloud?

    I have been using the Outlook app since the stock iOS mail app doesn't do push for gmail. I set up the forwarding in the gmail settings. I tested it and am able to receive messages. Only issue is I'm trying to have it show me sending emails from the gmail account instead of iCloud. Anyone know how to do this? I know I can use the gmail app but really want to use the stock app

    Automatic app updates

    I'm wondering. When does the iPhone automatically update apps from the App Store? It seems like even if I'm in WiFi and got the power plugged in, my iPhone won't update the apps. I checked the iTunes settings and the update tap is activated.

    Do you have the same problem?

    [Question] How can I trick the mcdonalds app about my location?

    I live 1 minute from mcdonalds but When I order food from the app, they dont start making the food until I check in. I would like to fool the app so it lets me check in from home so that is less time I have to sit there and wait..

    iOS Music App Problems...Am i being stupid?

    The single biggest thing I use my iPhone 7+ for is music. I've had innumerable glitches with manually managing music every since I got it (dumb iOS 10), so today I *finally* decide to upgrade to iOS11. I've held out for ages.

    However, two things immediately spring to mind that maybe i'm being stupid on and maybe you can help:

    • There's a whole bar of wasted space that says "Not Playing"...any way to get rid of this thing? It never used to show up until I started a song.
    • Is there a way to actually find song length, like the good old days, and not some meaningless estimate of album/playlist length at the bottom of the screen?

    Thanks in advance. iOS has gone way downhill since Steve's gone. So many juvenile UI choices it's actually surprising coming from the company once known for easy and seamless.

    Please help me. I know how to change my IDFA and my ip address, but how could I change my IDFV? According to apple, I would have to delete every app from that vendor, but what does that mean? What's a vendor and how could I determine which app belongs to a vender? However, if you could just tell me a simple (non jailbroken) way to change the IDFV I would be much obliged.

    Also can apps see your IMEI?

    After ios 11.4.1 update, many default apple apps are offloaded

    I woke up after the update and found Notes, Compass, Stocks, Facetime, iTunes Store, Mail all offline. They were all greyed out and "waiting". I'm able to restore them by going to setting, and triggering them to go offline, and then reload them.

    Anyone else see this?
