    Imgur recompresses uploaded images though, so I prepared a zip file with higher quality versions: https://files.rb.gd/mojave_dynamic.zip (40mb)

    These images are extracted from the already compressed HEIC image container format, so they're smaller in file size relative to the other JPG wallpapers included in macOS.

    Back To My Mac remove from iCloud in Mojave

    Hi all, it looks like apple has removed Back to My Mac from Mojave (at least in the first beta). It's missing from the iCloud system preference and I cannot see any of my other devices that aren't on the local network.

    New touchbar features with Mojave?

    I've read a post showing an option to run automators from the touchbar but the screenshot was not so clear for me. Anyone with Mojave had tried this?

    It would be nice something like BetterTouchTool but native.

    Can someone with Mojave check if Displayport daisy-chaining is finally supported?

    macOS just mirrors displays attached in daisy chain using DP 1.2 / MST, rather that recognizing them as separate displays, issue persistent in High Sierra. If anyone with beta has two displays and could test that'd be awesome, thanks!

    Is it possible to completely restore a MacBook air without logging in?

    I work in property preservation and have to clean houses out occasionally. Recently, I found a 2010 MacBook air that the old tenants left behind.

    There's no charger, so I'm not even certain if it even works. The house sat empty for any number of years so I imagine the battery will need to be replaced too.

    So my question, is it possible to fully restored without needing to log in taking into account that it even turns on? I only deal with windows and Android, so I've never had to look into Mac OS.

    Does it work like windows where shutting it off mid start up will send it into recovery options? Or does it work like iOS and have persistent iCloud login requirements and isn't even worth messing with?

    If people are iffy with this I can show some proof to the mods that I got the computer legally.

    Login window background picture missing

    I've noticed after installing Mojave that there's no background picture on the login screen. It should show the current wallpaper, but for me it's just blank white background.

    Anybody else experiencing this issue?

    Safari 12 Extension Workaround (WIP)

    1. Download your .safariextz extension
    2. Open Terminal and run this command: xar -xf pathtoextension.safariextz This will extract the extension.
    3. In Safari, open Preferences, Advanced, check Show Develop menu
    4. Open Develop menu, click Show Extension Builder
    5. Click +, select Add extension
    6. Select your extracted extension
    7. In top right corner click Run
    8. PROFIT! Please note, that extension will stop when you quit Safari.

    Is anyone else having problems with Chrome on Mojave?

    I've never downloaded a beta before so are things like this normal? Do fixes normal done out or do I just have to live with it? Or is there a way to delete the profile and go back to high Sierra

    Any RescueTime alternatives/time tracking & productivity apps that support multiple devices?

    Looking for recommendations! My wish list is:

    • better alerts than RescueTime Premium (i.e., alerts I can set up to nag me if I'm wasting time on unproductive stuff)
    • supports multiple devices, cause I use three mac computers and want my time tracked across all three of them

    macOS Mojave compatible with NVIDIA CUDA drivers?

    I see many of you have macOS Mojave installed. Of those that are trying the beta, do any of you have a MacBook Pro Retina (2013-2015) in which macOS High Sierra was not compatible with CUDA? I think previous-gen iMac and Mac Pros are affected as well from same time period. Work-around was installing unstable Web Driver from NVIDIA.

    Does macOS Mojave solve the issue? (When you logon to your OS, System Preferences doesn't pop up and give you the dreaded CUDA Update Required.

    Any information would be helpful.
