Play/pause button on MacBook plays audio of someone saying hello

    Posted: 05 Jun 2018 11:50 PM PDT

I've noticed a couple days ago my play/pause button wasn't working. I use it all the time for Spotify and videos. Every time I hold it, it sounds like someone is saying hello or at least is sounds like it

    Hear for yourself https://youtu.be/WN4RH1qdGws

Is this a virus or am I being trolled? I've tried closing all programs and it still plays that audio

Does anyone have the LG ultra fine 5k?

    Posted: 05 Jun 2018 06:35 AM PDT

I have a 2017 macbook pro, and I've been thinking about either buying a new iMac for home, or getting a monitor like the LG. An iMac would run a little over 2k, while the monitor would be 1300 dollars.

I would prefer a 5k monitor so I can scale to 1440p resolution, which is my preferred scale.

If anyone has any experiences, please let me know!

    Leasing/Upgrade Options in Canada

    Posted: 05 Jun 2018 06:27 AM PDT

    Hi there,

Was expecting the release of a new MBP during the conference yesterday, but none was announced. However, I cannot hold out for a new version and it would really suck if the new MBP was to be announced in September or October. Has anyone had experience with leasing options or an upgrade plan. I talked to the sales representative this morning, whom wasn't knowledgeable of Canada policies, but he did mention that education has leasing plans I could look into. Looking at my university, I found a link to an education apple store (https://www.apple.com/ca_edu_108250/shop), but nothing about leasing. I also looked at the Best Buy leasing programs, but they lacked any real information.

    Apple Key Caps Replacement

    Posted: 05 Jun 2018 08:47 AM PDT

My enter key on my mid 2017 MacBook Pro was sticking so I decided to do abit of a clean up. I sprayed some compressed air around the sides of the key and gave it a little hoover but the issue was still there so I decided to remove the keycap. When removing the key cap I snapped of the hinges to the butterfly key so now the key is in an even worse state :/

I have now made an appointment at my local apple store and I am wondering if they will flat out just give me a new enter key for me to replace myself or will they take it in for repairs. If they do give me a new key does anyone know how much they will charge.

    Many Thanks!

(The enter key still works fine on the laptop it is literally just the keycap which has broken)

Tech experts say it's a smart strategy from Apple but whatever who wouldn't like a MacBook Air for only $699?
