I Switched from the 42mm to the 38mm. here are my thoughts after 1 week. Posted: 20 Jun 2018 10:23 AM PDT So when I got my first Apple Watch I got the 42mm even though I have small wrists (on most bands I use the last few holes). My reasoning was that "bigger is better". I use plus models of the phones and they do have better features than the smaller edition does. I got it and I love it, but in the back of my mind it was always was big to me and I was never able to use some of the bands that I liked. Like the Leather loop and when they came out the sport loop. Jump forward to last Tuesday I went and bought my new Series 3 LTE Sport…. in 38. The only real downside for me was I lose all the bands I bought for the 42mm (I bought a sport loop to go with it, fits perfectly). I've had it for a week and besides the size difference I have found no noticeable changes at all. Screen is not too small; battery life is the same and even better in some cases.
