    Control TV power without HDMI CEC?

    Is there a way to have my Apple TV and my television turn off at the same time? The TV is a bit older and doesn't support HDMI CEC. Sometimes we turn the TV off but the Apple TV keeps streaming video in the background and uses up all of our data limit (thanks, Comcast)

    Ideally I'd like for the TV to turn off when powering off the Apple TV with the Siri remote, or the Apple TV to turn off when I power off my TV with the TV remote. Can either of these be done?

    Using an Apple TV 4K and a 10 year old Sharp HDTV.

    Which 4K HDR TV for an Apple TV?

    Hello Friends,

    After watching the recent keynote, I decided to buy a 4K Apple TV and replace my Amazon Fire TV.

    I still have an old HD Panasonic TV 44 inches and I would like to buy a new TV and enjoy the beauty of 4K HDR that Apple TV offers.

    Any suggestion for a good model between 50 and 60 inches that does not cost my left arm?

    Apple TV 4K not showing 4K in Audio Video anymore after Update

    hey

    yesterday I updated to the latest beta firmware. since then, my atv4k only allows 720p@50hz.

    when I switch to 1080p@60hz it works for around 2 seconds then it gets into a infinite loop from 720 to 1080 till i restart with pressing the upper two buttons...

    before the update I was using 4k with 60hz, chroma 4:2:2 without big problems (only small glitches with hdr content)

    my cable is fine, my ps4 pro makes no problems, only the newly updated atv isnt working properly.

    i tried to reset the device entirely, still the same. if i try to reset and update (with the built-in option) i get an error message stating that the apple server is not reachable / available at the moment. I havent found an option to downgrade the atv.

    am i the only one with this problem?

    edit: written in rage, forgot to mention that i cant see any 4k options at all, not in the regular audio video option, nor in the advanced ones

    Hulu On Apple TV

    If you want to watch Hulu on your Apple TV then buyer beware. This application is horrible. If you want to watch anything expect it to freeze and/or completely crash at least once every half hour. The UI is overdeveloped and isn't at all intuitive. It's a low quality product and Hulu should discount their subscribers until they get it right.
