iPhone SE: Add "personal hotspot" tile to control center? Posted: 30 May 2018 05:31 PM PDT i have an iphone se. notably, it does not have 3d touch. i regularly use personal hotspot and would love to add a tile in the control center to turn it on/off. apparently, phones with 3d touch allow you to add the hotspot tile to the control center. but for my iphone se, it apparently does not exist. is there any way to force or trick my iphone into allowing me access to the hotspot tile in the control center? this is a work-issued phone, so jailbreaking and upgrading are not options. thanks! Posted: 30 May 2018 08:26 PM PDT Looking to see if people's phones match up to what I experience today in a car my iPhone X get pretty warm underneath camera when I got out and was able to check the temp with a thermometer it was 90 degrees on the back and felt warm against my skin this was just idling in my truck with the ac on. I can easily make both my iPhone X and 7 ramp up over this with just general usage. This is under the camera Is 90 degrees to warm for a phone to be when idle. Roughly 78 degrees outside today. All of this is in Fahrenheit also what temp is your phone f you can check for me. Any thermometer will work. [link] [comments] |

Display microphone and texting issues iPhone 7 Posted: 30 May 2018 03:49 PM PDT Bought this phone about two months ago, no known damage. Microphone issues: on phone calls people complain that they can't hear me at all on speakerphone, and on normal non-speakerphone talking I still sound muffled. However if I take a video and my voice is in it, it seems to come through just fine. Display issues: the light doesn't want to stay on, it blinks on and off sporadically. It particularly acts up when the bottom of the phone containing the charge port is resting on a surface such as my chest or the table. But it also acts up if the phone is on its back. When the light blinks on and off, it doesn't seem to respond to touch. Texting issues: the phone doesn't want to send messages to people who don't have iPhones. I have to send the message three or four times for it to go through. No idea if I'm receiving all texts or not. Also in a group chat with two friends who have iPhones, the phone no longer notifies me of their texts. I have to go all the way into the group thread to see new messages. Talked to Apple on the phone, all they want to do is a factory reset which I'm not comfortable with at this time. Can go into the store to get hardware looked at, but it's not close to me. Version is 11.4. Did latest software update today and have restarted phone twice. Issues still persist. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 May 2018 03:45 PM PDT So I know that in the new 11.4 update we are supposed to be able to backup our messages to iCloud. I've turned on the backup for messages and done a manaul iCloud backup but when I Iog on to iCloud on my computer my messages aren't there. Although they are showing up in my storage breakdown bar. Anyone else experiencing this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 May 2018 01:50 PM PDT My messages wouldn't move to the top of the list, new messages don't show a blue circle, messages would stay saying "sending" even after delivered and I don't get notifications when I get a new message. At first I thought it was a carrier problem but I think it has to do with my iphone. [link] [comments] |

iPhone X screen totally unresponsive Posted: 30 May 2018 10:27 AM PDT It's been around 4 hours since I've noticed it. I was using it this morning and it was perfectly fine. I was doing some things, and after that, I noticed I couldn't swipe up to unlock my phone. I've gone through all Apple Support methods, including connecting it to iTunes(Which I found out requires you to unlock your phone in order to confirm its your phone.) I then went to Apple Support online to chat with them and they ALSO needed an authentication code that I can only see if I unlock my phone. So that was out too. I've tried shutting it off and doing a hard reset and it still doesn't want to cooperate. I'm running what I think was iOS 11.3. Any help is greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] |
