Mom and sister can't message each other on iphones Posted: 12 Apr 2018 06:40 PM PDT My mom a coupledays ago logged into my sisters apple id and can now no longer text her or receive texts. i went into messages in setting and made sure both were only set to send and receive messages on their phone number only. after logging out of the apple id on both phones my sister still cannot message my moms phone but my moms phone will send i message the moments later send it as a text and my sisters phone will receive both. I would like to keep them both logged into the apple id though. [link] [comments] |

About my iPhone Battery Health Posted: 12 Apr 2018 11:33 AM PDT As you know latest iOS 11.3 update brought Battery Health (Beta) feature. When I updated to 11.3 my Battery Maximum Capacity was 97%. And now it's 95%. I updated to the new 11.3 just as it released. But why that Maximum Capacity is getting low too quickly ? Is there anything to do ? Thank u. BTW plz sorry for my bad english [link] [comments] |
New Unlocked iPhone SE (Verizon) is locked internationally (SIM Not Valid). Posted: 12 Apr 2018 06:39 AM PDT I have bought a brand new unlocked iPhone SE from US-based seller and made it shipped to another country. When I received my device I found that it couldn't proceed through activation: "SIM Not Valid" error. Every single sim card I inserted hasn't been valid, showing the same error. First, I contacted to Apple Support to identify the problem and it appeared that iPhone is locked to Verizon. I contacted to seller and got their approval that iPhone is initially from Verizon, but it was never on contract and is factory unlocked international-wide. The seller also contacted to Verizon Support and they confirmed that this device is unlocked internationally. As I know, it could be an engineering problem of Verizon and Apple servers sync, and the Activation Policy of my iPhone needs to be corrected. The problem is, the Apple Support keeps me from contacting to engineers. It seems a tough quest to do so... Currently my farthest instance is a 'Supervisor' level, which isn't enough to fix the problem: they keep saying there's nothing they can do about it. Could anyone help me with this? I'll greatly appreciate any suggestions. [link] [comments] |
I think my dad is receiving my texts? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 12:24 AM PDT hey. my phone is synced with my dad's. awhile ago I got some weird messages relating to his job, turns out, in the settings I found where my phone will also receive all of the messages he gets if the option is enabled, and that's how that was happening. turned it off, obviously, but I'm assuming his phone has the same option. so today, I unlocked my phone and a message popped up that read "Your phone number is now being used for iMessage and FaceTime on a new iPhone. If you recently signed into (insert my dad's phone's name), you can ignore this message". the only thing available for me to press was "ok." so now, the question is, how can I figure out if he's getting my texts? I sent and received a couple in the same room as him and his phone didn't go off, but I don't know if it was on silent. later, I sent a text to my friend and looked at his lockscreen, where nothing was happening. however, when I go to the option to share my location, it says it will be shared from his phone. this is not something I can confront him about, unfortunately, for very legitimate reasons. all in all, is there a way for me to know if he is receiving messages being sent to my phone? thanks. EDIT: I also want to note that my mom called my phone, she asked if I was going to meet her at my grandparents. a few minutes after we hung up, my dad, in a totally different floor of the house, came down to ask me /when/ I was going to meet my mom... it could be a coincidence, but I'm extremely paranoid. Accidentally updated iPhone SE to most recent iOS, want to go back Posted: 12 Apr 2018 03:22 AM PDT Hey everyone, I was using an iPhone SE for a while and then ran out of storage space, so I got a new one with a lot more storage. Unfortunately when I was activating my phone, I stupidly used a backup from two years ago on accident, and then even more stupidly updated my phone to iOS 11.3 to download games, not realizing I could clear my phone memory and then use a more recent backup. Once I realized my phone was being slow because I updated to the latest iOS and that I could do a factory reset, I did that and then used my most recent backup from my old phone, that used iOS 9.3.2. I thought the iOS would also be reset when I did this (I mean, it is called a FACTORY reset) and then go to 9.3.2. It didn't and now my brand new phone is slow as shit. Games that normally worked fine now take forever to load and I keep having connection issues that I never had with my old phone. I'm never going to buy an iPhone again after this experience, but unfortunately I have no money to buy a new phone so I'm stuck with this. Is there any way to revert my phone back to an earlier iOS, and would doing that fix the problem or has apple somehow permanently fucked up my phone? I've looked up guides online but they're all relatively old and not applicable. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Apr 2018 02:35 AM PDT I have a 32 gig iPhone 7 plus. When syncing my phone, it appears I've got nearly 13 gigs of "user data" clogging nearly half of my actual storage (closer to 28 gigs than 32). Where is all this coming from and how can I get rid of some of it? It's the biggest chunk of data on my phone by a couple gigs, eclipsing my documents, my photos, my apps, etc. [link] [comments] |
