Issue with HIgh Sierra on a Mac Mini and connecting to 2.4 GHz wifi network

    Posted: 05 Feb 2018 10:47 AM PST

Hello all, hopefully someone can help with this. About three weeks ago I purchased a Mac Mini, it's currently running High Sierra. The issue is that my router has a 2.4 GHz network and 5GHz network, due to the way my house is laid out the 5GHz network is useless for anything but the Mac Mini, and doesn't transmit far enough/strong enough.

The 2.4GHz network works perfectly in every corner of my house, but for some reason my mac mini refuses to connect that network. I've completely reset the router, I even reformatted the mac mini and still not working.

The 2.4GHz network works perfectly with everything else, my laptop, iphones, apple TV, etc..., now the reason this is a problem is the Mac Mini is basically there to be a media server for the Apple TVs, and since it won't connect I can't get anything from my itunes to stream.

If anyone knows a fix or a work around Please Help!!!

Issue with bluetooth connections with MacOS 10.13.3

    Posted: 05 Feb 2018 10:01 AM PST

    Hi all,

I have a persistent issue with my bluetooth devices when I go to connect either my PowerBeats or Beats Studios (both the latest 3.0 version). I cannot differentiate between the two devices because the titles have disappeared in the menu bar and bluetooth preferences in system preferences since about macOS 10.13.0. And it's a really annoying guessing game to decide which one is the pair I want to listen to because the names of the devices are MIA.

I have submitted a feedback report to apple and I'm here to see if anyone has had a similar issue with their AirPods or other bluetooth connected devices.

I have a MacBook Pro mid 2015 running on El Capitan, would you recommend to upgrade to High Sierra?

Should I upgrade to high sierra 10.13.3?

    Posted: 05 Feb 2018 05:29 AM PST

I'm currently on 10.12.5 on 2017 MacBook Pro 2gb graphics. I use this machine for web browsing photoshop and video editing. Is 10.13.3 still having problems?

Is it possible to revert from High Sierra to Sierra without a backup?

    Posted: 05 Feb 2018 05:27 AM PST

I am new to Macs (but not Apple) and recently got a new MacBook Pro 2017 touchbar. It was running fine without issues until I installed High Sierra. Since then it has been running hot, with fans and substantial battery drain when performing tasks it used to be able to do with no issues. However, because I am new to Mac, I did not think to create a back up with Sierra before I installed High Sierra. Is there anything I can do about this?
