Posted: 31 Jan 2018 06:19 PM PST Last year, I had worked on a project with a girl named "Nikki". I put her in as a contact on my phone with one number. I later on got a new number for me friend with the same name. I accidentally put her name into that contact. Long story short, I was imessaging a contact with two phone numbers. The person that I intended to message was responding to me but the other person wasn't. Did the other person get my imessage? [link] [comments] |
Stolen iPhone - iCloud backup? Posted: 31 Jan 2018 05:11 PM PST My iPhone was stolen and I purchased a used 5S. I tried to back it up but iTunes says my last computer backup was 2016 which I'm sure is wrong, and when I try and back up from iCloud it sends a code to the 'trusted device' which is stolen. The thing is I can access iCloud on my laptop and no code comes up for it. So I can see all my photos for now but I can't download them to my phone. I'm certain I backed it up to the icloud and I don't want a 2016 old backup with photos of my ex. [link] [comments] |
Faulty Digitiser & Display? iPhone 6S+ flicking lines & unresponsive touch Posted: 31 Jan 2018 01:21 PM PST Hi, I have an iPhone 6S Plus from launch day and it's working fine up until 2 days ago. It's not dropped or damaged in any way, never water damaged etc. 2 days ago the display became semi-unresponsive, missing out random touches and touching in the wrong place. Several hours later, the display began fading and turning grey, and now it shows flicking and lines both horizonal and vertical. The touch input is still working intermitently. I dissasembled the phone and reseated the 3 ribbon cables attaching the display to the phone, multiple times. This has not helped at all. The cables seemed to be flush and not loose to begin with. Am I right in assuming that this is an issue that can be resolved by replacing the display/digitiser? Thank you for any insight :) [link] [comments] |

I Think I Made A Huge Mistake (70 gb backup for new 64 gb iPhone X) Posted: 31 Jan 2018 12:03 PM PST Hi all, I had the bright idea to upgrade to the iPhone X the DAY we were leaving the country for our honeymoon. I have spent countless hours trying to restore the backup in the airport and now in NZ in our free time. Main issue is the backup was around 70gb and I opt'd for the 64gb as the girl at AT&T was confident I could delete videos and photos from the backup. Plus, I started moving photos to iCloud for a couple of hours. I got the 64gb, because I was confident after deleting the 5k photos I don't need (making that number up) and moving all the rest to iCloud, I would have plenty of space. I have tried 2 or 3 free programs (I would purchase if I had faith one would work) to access the backup and delete some of the 10k photos. Some of them were transferred to iCloud after upgrading that the same day. And a lot of them are already on my home computer. Nothing has really worked thus far. To attempt the backup I had to a) upgrade the iOS b) update iTunes, c) jump through any other hoops to just attempt the backup without an error message. As expected once done, iTunes indicated no free space and there was no option given to get rid of stuff or select what went on to the new phone (like I read somewhere online). So......do I really have any options? Or just use the phone as is for the next few weeks and try an Apple store once back in the states? If I do get it to restore the backup I guess I lose what I have done thus far (photos mostly)? Lastly, it would be great if any of the apps would let me access the notes (especially a password protected one....since that has ALL my passwords). It's been GREAT trying to recover my gmail account during all of this. [link] [comments] |
Why the hell is my iPhone doing this? Posted: 31 Jan 2018 04:13 AM PST My iPhone was dying, so i went inside to charge it and it started opening the camera by itself, and when i tried pressing the home button, it would just show the camera playing in the background, and would take me to the password unlock. I was trying to turn it off while I was going to try to charge it (the charger I'm using isn't working right), but i eventually turned it off, and now it won't turn back on, no matter how many times i press the home or top button. I've tried two different chargers and it wouldn't turn back on. Could this be due to it getting wet from the moisture outside or what? [link] [comments] |

Also when I turn on my phone it last for like a second each time and I don't have any apps running the could use the microphone. What do I do or is this a bug iPhone6 [link] [comments] |
Apple Music won’t play when connected to wifi?? Posted: 31 Jan 2018 05:28 AM PST For about a day now, my entire Apple Music library has been unable to play any songs, downloaded or added to library, while connected to wifi. It works fine with cellular and when airplane mode is on, but whenever I turn on wifi, it plays for a second then stops. I've tried using a VPN and going on different networks with no luck. It's driving me crazy, can someone help? [link] [comments] |
Apple Music unresponsive to touch Posted: 31 Jan 2018 05:04 AM PST Iphone X running 11.1.2. About once a day, I will open apple music and find that it is completely unresponsive to touch. No scrolling through playlists, no changing to search mode, etc. If I use the swipe-down menu from the home screen, I can still hit play and have something start playing, I just can't have any control over it from the app. Closing the app doesn't fix it, the only fix I've found so far is to restart the stupid phone which is NOT something I want to have to do when I'm already half asleep and trying to turn on my sleep Playlist. Any ideas what could be causing this, and what might be an actual permanent fix? [link] [comments] |
