That's good, in that it is double the previous year's shipments. On the other hand, the IDC says Apple shipped 215.8 million iPhones in 2017, which works out to 4.15 million a week. Obviously, these days' SoCs are very special and optimised for one special kind of task, in this case probably resolution etc., so that does not necessarily, obviously, follow a linear equation of the iPhone 8 being 2.74 stronger, but it definitely means one or both of the two things:
.. so my final point is .. does all this follow that the iPhone 8 should last considerably longer than the iPhone X - that is, if Apple doesn't create some hilarious nerf for it ? Could it be the case that the higher aimed (and priced) iPhone X will be the first to see sketchy shit in say, 5 major iOS releases from now on, from the 8 and the X? [link] [comments]  | ||

I'm a frequent android switcher and every time I goto Android, the hardware kill-all mute switch is something I miss immediately about iOS. So I lost my iPhone X on Saturday :( I have enabled lost mode through Find my iPhone, checked the status every day and its still not reported a location. I have checked Googles 'Recently used devices' and it has synced a few hours ago, I don't have google email so can not see the IP it was accessed from but it gives correct device model and says it was accessed from Safari 10.0. I only had my google account on there for maps and photos apps, no new photos have been uploaded, my timeline hasn't changed, and nothing new in my search history. How can my iPhone X be syncing with Google but not with iCloud? Do I have any chance to locate my iPhone X? Thanks [link] [comments]  | ||
