Attempt at your own risk. While it worked for me, there's always a chance that it may not work for you.

[Release] EZCCX - Easier Control Center access on iPhone X

    Posted: 19 Feb 2018 10:29 PM PST

Accessing the control center is the biggest gripe I have with the iPhone X. EZCCX makes it a lot easier by allowing you to open the control center instead of activating reachability,

    Demonstration available here: https://twitter.com/cpdigdarkroom/status/965823865661329408

The source code and files to use it with Electra available here: https://github.com/CPDigitalDarkroom/EZCCX

    Cheers 😘

[Discussion] Jailbreak community is killing itself

    Posted: 19 Feb 2018 06:17 AM PST

Probably none of you like this kind of posts. Me neither but I just wanted to share what I think. I'll try to keep it short. I failed

Over the last year we saw two major jailbreaks. Yalu and Electra (Shoutout to the developers of g0blin and Meridian you too did a great job!). We have successfully made both developers quit iOS (Coolstar is still a maybe but he did say he probably will leave). I don't think some of us (mainly the guys on twitter) realize how hard it is to make a jailbreak. And it's only becoming harder and harder. (Also shoutout to all of you developers who make great tweaks. It also isn't that easy.)

Some of us expect that a complicated tool that makes all of your device's security systems it's bitch can be done in a few days. It's impossible. If any of you were mad because coolstar didn't release Electra RC to the public it's because he didn't want all our devices to bootloop immediately. Remember when nullpixel and n_triangle_dev iphones bootlooped? If that was released to the public without testing probably 60% of us on iOS 11 would be gone from /r/jailbreak.

We are slowly making devs leave the jailbreak scene. And killing jailbreaks with it. No wonder saurik is silent. If I was smart enough to make tweaks I definitely wouldn't make a twitter account.

Okay this turned out to be quite long so TL;DR: I think we are killing jailbreaks by making devs leave the scene. We need to stop.

[Release] NoMoreElectraRC1: The Electra RC1 remover tool.

    Posted: 19 Feb 2018 11:27 AM PST

This is exactly what it says up there. a tool to remove Electra RC 1 files from your device. I have not been able to test this tool due to to.panga, so this is untested, but it should not brick your device. Run electra first because this needs to be jailbroken to run. Also, you will have to rejailbreak with something such as Electra 11-3 and run uicache to fully get rid of Cydia. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1HLCjFV0a-WyV3mBWzyrA8iQDKalyZTW9

[Discussion] TL;DR of the Coolstar, Nullpixel & Andy Wiiks Drama

    Posted: 19 Feb 2018 05:57 AM PST

I've decided to make a tl;dr of the current drama, seeing as a lot of people who haven't been active for a long time probably don't understand. I am MeiLingZhua but I lost access to my account.

Just to be clear, this post is not me saying Coolstar is a bad person or a bad developer.

    1. Coolstar has been making Electra, a tool based on Ian Beer's async_wake exploit, and Xerub's KPPLess.

    2. Coolstar was creating Electra together with other developers, Stek29 (Viktor), Karin, Nullpixel (Jamie), and others.

    3. Over the years, Coolstar has been caught up in multiple drama fights. These include -

    • fights with other developers,

    • stealing/leaking /u/saurik code,

    • being caught up in a group of people who threatened & abused Saurik & Britta (online)

    • Calling out developer Andy Wiiks for leaking the 1.3 RC of Electra without any concrete proof

    • Posting about a fraudulent thing Andy Wiiks did 3 years ago, which is completely irrelevant to the current situation, just to have his twitter followers attack Andy Wiiks.

    • Shared screenshots of private conversations

    • creating DRM that caused a lot of problems (causing some people to lose their jailbreak), creating discriminatory DRM for Mac but acted differently on purpose on Hackintosh for no good reason,

    • intentionally breaking compatibility of his own tweak with other tweaks,

    • hyping electra to the point where people think it's going to be released any day for several weeks now,

    • creating DRM that intentionally blocks Electra Public Release from Installing on a phone that has had any other jailbreak, app or tweak that leaves files in /bin, regardless if they actually pose a threat or not (apart from Electra Beta & LiberiOS),

    • having people contact him on twitter for a beta jailbreak rather than silently giving it to the dev's who need it, which forces everyone to basically beg him for a jailbreak,

    1. Yesterday, some people on reddit started commenting in all the drama, and it turns out a lot of people were quit tired of it and wanted it to stop.

    2. User /u/nullpixel (one of the supporting people on electra) made a thread yesterday on Reddit, stating 'I don't want any drama'. At the same time however he and coolstar were publicly destroying Andy Wiiks reputation on Twitter, accusing him of leaking & selling the Electra jailbreak, without any concrete evidence. Coolstar then went on to tweet about something fraudulent Andy did 3 years ago, which was completely irrelevant to the story and was just to have his followers start sending hate tweets to Andy Wiiks. After a while, and coolstar pretty much confirmed there was no real evidence, but that he still considered Andy Wiiks the main suspect, further damaging his reputation.

    3. So while /u/nullpixel comes to reddit to play the victim card, he and coolstar are publicly shaming and destroying the reputation of a good developer, without posting any concrete evidence.

Coolstar is a good developer, and a lot of the people who contributed to electra are great people (Stek29, Karin) who have absolutely nothing to do with this drama.

Yes, coolstar is doing this work for free, but so has every other dev team for the last 10 years, and no one created as much drama as Coolstar & Nullpixel did. All this drama does nothing but to make this whole already hurting community look like a childish bunch of teens.

True, past jailbreaks also had their fair share of drama, the iOS 6 Jailbreak that had a progress bar that wasn't actually a live progress bar but was just a present and caused tens of thousands of people to visit the website multiple times per day, which was done to earn ad revenue. The Chinese jailbreak that were extremely sketchy and bundled Chinese piracy tools, etc)

However, these are all just 1 or 2 events that caused drama. Not a whole list.

Coolstar is a great developer, and him leaving is is not something most people wanted. They just wanted a jailbreak that wasn't surrounded by nothing but drama.

For the people that are sad coolstar left, there's a pretty good chance he'll be back. Coolstar has left the jailbreak scene multiple times, but came back every time.

For now though, it seems like /u/nullpixel will continue with electra, so I, and a lot of other people, don't see this drama dying any time soon.

[Release] Mage - Hidden SpringBoard Settings on iOS 11

    Posted: 19 Feb 2018 11:00 AM PST

This is similar to HiddenSettings7 and AdvancedSettings8, where you will gain access to in-depth, "hidden" settings for SpringBoard.

This is a simple tweak, it hooks onto the status bar and sets up a swipe gesture for both the left and right directions. It then calls the SpringBoard Prototype Controller to present the settings. (This limits it only to the homescreen). Nothing special.

I made this tweak for private use, to be able to view the settings and change them, but then saw that some people wanted to do the same as well, so I am making it public.

    To Reset Settings...

    A) Use the tutorials linked below

    OR

    B) Scroll to the bottom of the view and click Restore Defaults

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any changes you make to your device. This is all Apple's internal code. I am only presenting the controller. As this is not for public use, there are bugs, be careful.

    Screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/iTEPX

Installation: Like any other iOS 11 (Electra beta) tweak, install the .dylib and .plist into the SBInject folder and restart SpringBoard.

    Download: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1HOzAVeIJjht5FgT7Xa4mcOm-H0piVFRV

For those who cannot be careful, using FilzaEscaped, go to /private/var/mobile/Documents/com.apple.springboard.settings and replace RootSettings.plist with this one. DO NOT DELETE THIS FILE

    [Release] HideStatusbars iOS8 - iOS11.1.2

    Posted: 19 Feb 2018 12:47 PM PST

    HideStatusbars http://junesiphone.com/hidestatusbar/

This will work on all devices iP7 and X as well. The status bar is quite different from iPX to iP7, but this hides it on both.

    Tested Devices iP7 11.1.2, iP6 8.3, iP5 9.3.3, iP6S+ 10.2, iPX 11.1.2

    Tutorial

    Video: https://twitter.com/jima6636/status/965769518256713728

I dislike doing this, but I know for a fact it will be asked. If you don't know how to install, don't. Easy as that, it will be released on Cydia when the time comes.

Electra: Put all files in SBInject in SBInject, All Files in PreferenceBundles in PreferenceBundles, all files in PreferenceLoader/Preferences in PreferenceLoader/Preferences

Others: Put all files in SBInject in MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries, All Files in PreferenceBundles in PreferenceBundles, all files in PreferenceLoader/Preferences in PreferenceLoader/Preferences
