The missing feature of the Apple Watch... Posted: 01 Feb 2018 06:35 AM PST ...is an effective tool for managing rest days. This is significant oversight. [link] [comments]
Monthly challenges become unachievable too quickly Posted: 01 Feb 2018 03:23 AM PST I've loved the idea of personalized monthly challenges since they were introduced in october, but I've gotten some wildly hard achievements on these last months turning something funny into a chore. I know I'm venturing on over complaining territory here, but has anyone else noticed these achievements grow out of control too quickly? Mine were:
The only one I didn't get was december's, which ammounted to 696 calories burnt every day. This month's even worse, 780 cal/day (due to 3 days less on february). Last month, I've burned 19841 calories, ammounting to 640 cal/day, this jump of +140 cal/day is unachievable. Is this happening to somebody else? [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Jan 2018 10:35 AM PST I just picked up my apple watch 3 lte yesterday and my sitting heart rate going anywhere from 90-115bpm so I went to the doctor today, it looks like I have tachycardia after an ECG. Keep an eye on your heart rates, it can save your life. I'm 30 years old and my doctors brother dropped dead at 30 from tachycardia while driving. I'm going for more tests tomorrow. Hopefully apple releases the heart study app in Canada, I'd like detailed info on what my heart is doing. [link] [comments]

January Achievement Miscalculation? Posted: 01 Feb 2018 04:12 AM PST I had a monthly goal to burn 14,508 calories in January. I was at about 14,800 as of noon yesterday. I hadn't received the badge yet, and when I checked my progress later yesterday evening, suddenly it said I had only burned about ~13,000 calories, which is wrong. Did anyone else's watch malfunction like this? Anything I can do? [link] [comments]
Would you like to see an Apple Watch with no buttons? Posted: 01 Feb 2018 07:54 AM PST Hello, I am a big fan of the apple watch but often feel the side button & the crown are not that useful. It is also very easy to press the buttons by mistake (when bending the wrist) and they seem to trap a lot of sweat during exercise. I feel like Apple can incorporate the current button functionalities into the watch face (by utilising the 4 corners or force touch). What do you think? [link] [comments]
So apparently I did 25 workouts today Posted: 01 Feb 2018 07:43 AM PST I was not awarded my January Challenge badge, which was to close all rings 8 times, despite closing all of my rings every single day in January. Now February rolls around and I am awarded the February Challenge, which is to workout 25 times. Problem is it's only February 1st and I've done one 15min workout so far. A quick look around Reddit and the Apple forums shows that I'm far from being the only one having an unreliable and buggy experience when it comes to Apple Watch monthly challenges. Other than being really irritating, it's a real motivation killer for a lot of people that use badges and rings as a motivational tool for getting fit. It's devastating to work really hard to get to a goal that just isn't there or that suddenly doesn't mean anything. Apple needs to sort this out and quick. [link] [comments]

February Challenge Not Appearing Posted: 01 Feb 2018 03:36 AM PST Got my AWS3 for Christmas and I have not received any monthly challenge goals for January or February. I assumed January didn't appear due to not having the watch for long, but thought I would get one for February. I get the perfect month achievements. Both my iPhone 7 Plus and Watch are on the latest firmware. Has anyone else experienced this? [link] [comments]

Monthly challenge is based on month-over-month increase despite February having fewer days Posted: 01 Feb 2018 04:35 AM PST I am starting to feel like the Challenges are a gimmick. My calorie goal was increased by a flat 10% from my actual January movement. Fine. But clearly Apple didn't account for February having 28 days vs the 31 in January. As a result, the February calorie goal is a whopping 22% higher. That is a huge increase and would be unhealthy for some. It would have been much safer, smarter, and realistic to increase the calorie goal by 10%/day. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Feb 2018 08:21 AM PST I fell in love with the Ultra Violet case & band & I wanted to have a matching AirPod case. I even got a knock off matching band too. Doesn't match. :( [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Feb 2018 08:18 AM PST I have a SBSS S0 38mm that has begun to display a number of issues. Mainly, the raise to wake/sensor has been malfunctioning in that it will constantly unlock while on my wrist throughout the day. Battery drain has been worse during workouts and Siri doesn't like to respond anymore. Also, and I wonder if anyone else sees this, with the chronograph face, I'll go to check the time and it will have started a timer. At first I thought it was just because I accidentally pressed it but it switches the timing mode I have set (analogue, digital). It makes it really frustrating when you go to see what time it is and have to back out of a timer. I have AppleCare through April and I'm wondering if they'll just repair this one or replace it. I am sending it in to Apple so hopefully I'll know soon. Anyways, would anyone like to trade me for a SS 38mm if I get a series 2 back like some have? [link] [comments]
