    Has anyone else completely lost their TV App’s Top Shelf?

    The Top Shelf used to show my Up Next queue. Now it just shows the default green/teal graphic.

    I've tried: Rebooting and hard resetting the ATV; Moving the app out of the top row, then back in; Changing the Region in Settings > General; Logging out, then back in to all my accounts in Settings > Accounts; Changing the Location in Settings > Accounts > iTunes and App Store; Switching to a different Apple ID – Problem persists; Trying a different ATV – Top Shelf is broken on that ATV too.

    When logged out of iTunes and App Store, it works on both ATVs (displays Get Started/Take the Tour). When I log back in with any Apple ID, it's back to the green/teal graphic.

    Could this be something on Apple's end? Or maybe a conflicting app I have installed on both devices? Any help is appreciated.

    BTW both ATVs are on TVOS 11.1

    Wish: Apple TV Soundbar (tvPod?)

    After playing with HomePod, it hit me. Apple TV would be so much more awesome if it is offered in soundbar form factor (tvPod).

    No more talking to Siri remote. tvPod will always listen, just like HomePod.

    And when TV is turned off, tvPod will function just like HomePod.

    Unlike HomePod, tvPod should have HDMI input for connecting to TV's HDMI ARC (audio return channel) for zero latency audio.

    Dolby Atmos. Can be paired with HomePods for true surround sound.

    PSA: You can change the function of the ‘Home’ button (on the Siri remote) in settings, to take you to the home screen and not the TV app

    Apologies if this is obvious, but ever since the last update, it's bugged me that the Home button no longer takes me to the home screen, and instead takes me to up next in the TV app.

    I don't use the TV app so it's been continually frustrating to accidentally open the TV app, and also a pain to navigate to the home screen.

    I just realised that I can change the function of the Home button in settings, to how it was before the latest update:

    Settings > Remotes and devices > Home button, then select Home screen.

    Apple TV 2- plays netflix, then crashes

    That's pretty much it. It will play netflix shows for a variable amount of time then crash. Its up date, i've unplugged it several times but it's really a pain in the butt. Any ideas?

    Connecting Apple TV 4K with SoundTouch 20 III via Bluetooth

    Hey,

    I am trying to get a stable setup using an Apple TV 4K and my Bose Soundtouch 20 III. At the moment my setup looks like this:

    AppleTV 4k --HDMI-> 4K TV AppleTV 4k --Bluetooth-> Sountouch 20 III

    However whenever I turn on my Apple TV it doesnt automatically wake the Bose and connect to it's bluetooth, and when I put my Apple TV to sleep it doesn't disconnect from the Bose either.. As I've googled my way around I have found some threads claiming that it should auto connect and disconnect when it wakes/sleeps accordingly, some threads dont mention anything of the sorts.

    Is it supposed to do what I am expecting or not?

    Question: Can I run VPN by just configuring the DNS in settings?

    Hello there!

    I'm thinking of buying an Apple TV, and have been doing some research on running it with a VPN. I've found multiple articles with instructions but the method that appeals the most to me is the one with changing the DNS on the network settings of the Apple TV.

    If I use this method, would I be able to airplay from my phone/Mac that are NOT running on the VPN, but are on the same Wifi? Any limitations if I use this method?

    Question regarding Philips Lightstrips and Apple TV

    On their Website Philips states that you can synchronize the Lightstrips with movies and music. Is that possible with the Apple TV?

    ATV 4K HDMI issues

    I'm having a weird issue where sometimes when I switch to the ATV 4k from another HDMI input, it changes to the ATV and then flicks between the ATV and no signal and will continue doing this until I pull the power cord. I've tried changing the HDMI cable, changing the HDMI cable to another HDMI on the tv and nothing seems to fix it. Any ideas? Issue with actual ATV box?

    Apple TV Invisible Apps

    Hiya, two apps on my apple tv, "search" and "computers", are both invisible when not selected. However, when I'm hovering over them they then show up. It's really annoying me and I need a fix. They're in the bottom right of the picture. Link to pictures: https://imgur.com/a/3e0dy
