    I really, really hope the iPad stays "boxed" and doesn't get a glass design.

    Let me start off by saying this, I absolutely love my iPhone X. It's super portable, and looks cool, however...The iPad should still have a square 4:3 ratio screen as its the best for browsing the web (rather than a curved backwards display ratio newer phones are going for). Nothing gets cut off. Secondly, iPad's should remain aluminum unibodies. The glass on the new phones are incredibly fragile, and apple doesn't even make a case to support the backside of the iPads now. Plus, aluminum feels much better.

    First time iPad buyer here.. is the pro 9.7 enough to buy now instead of the latest iPad pro 10.5? With the apple pencil the 10.5 is so expensive..

    Any updates on GoodNotes 5?

    School is starting soon and I'm debating whether to get Notability or GoodNotes. Few months ago, saw that link for GoodNotes 5 was accidentally leaked by the devs. There was an other post that some redditor posted screenshots of the beta.

    I've followed the history of both of these apps and it seems likely once Good goes 5 is released that it will be a separate/paid app (based on GoodNotes 3 to 4).

    Anyone in the beta have an update on how the app is? I don't want to buy an app especially knowing a major new update is coming in 2018.

    Ipad Pro 10.5 'Not Charging' via PC USB

    My Ipad Pro 10.5 won't charge and comes up with 'Not Charging' message when connected to my Windows 10 PC. I'm trying to use it as a second monitor using the Duet Display app, but for this to work i would need it charging whilst it is in use (well it works if it isn't charging, but would prefer it to be charging whilst in use). It is being plugged in via a USB 3 port and Itunes recognises it (i.e. i can sync/transfer files etc still)

    I've seen posts saying it doesn't charge on computers, however it charges perfectly fine when connected via my Macbook Pro (2013).

    Any advice/knowledge would be greatly appreciated!

    Anyone using 10.5" pro with a 12.9" pro keyboard?

    I heard (from a podcast that I listen to) that 10.5" keyboard is good, but 12.9" keyboard is exceptional. Also, I already have a wireless keyboard from Apple, but I always forget to bring it with my 10.5. I got frustrated with me forgetting things. So I was wondering if someone on the Reddit is using this (10.5 with 12.9 keyboard case) as a daily configuration.

    Are there any downsides (apart from being hideous) to this setup? Does 10.5" not fitting snuggly into the 12.9" keyboard case bothersome? Any sort of feedback, I will deeply appreciate. Thanks in advance.

    Messages app says I have unread messages.

    Hi , I'm having an issue where my messages app has a badge icon saying I have 2 messages but when I got into the app there are no messages, is there a fix to this or have any of you experienced this issue. Thanks for any help

    apps instantly close?

    i've recently bought my iPad pro 10.5 inch(i've also right after downloaded the available system updates), I've been using good notes and procreate/netflix apps so far and they've been working well however when i tried to check out the already downloaded apps like Pages, or iMovie, iTunes, Numbers etc. the moment i click them they close 1 second later without even having a view of what's in it. i've tried searching fixes but nothing came up. i've tried force restarting, closing the apps then opening again so far.

    Wish there is a way to allow/disable sync of all apps on iPad

    I have set up my iPad and my iPhone with shared apps. For example I have both Facebook and messenger, YouTube, Twitter, etc. I don't mind both my iPad and iPhone pop up with the same notification.

    But sometimes when my family stay at my place while I'm out of town on a business trip leaving my iPad behind I wish there is a way to stop notification sync. I don't want my iPad to keep getting notifications cuz it's signed in to the same apps as my iPhone and both of them are getting messages.

    Maybe I can just mute it or disable notification

    iBooks PDF editing question

    Edit: resolved. Closing and reopening the application fixed the issue.

    So I've been reading books on my iPad. Some are ePub and others are PDF. The other day I was reading a PDF file and noticed a little pen icon in the top right by the search and bookmark icon. Touching it opens up a menu allowing me to highlight, use pen / pencil to mark the pages and a couple of boxes, circles, and signatures I can place on the PDF file.

    I went back to reading the exact same book today and the editing pen icon is no longer there. I went back to the pages I marked on and they still have the parts I highlighted and edited, but it will not allow me to do it anymore.

    I'm running 11.2.1 and it notified me today that a software update is available, which I find worrisome as its a strictly WiFi iPad and I don't have Internet where I live. I normally use my phones Hotspot to browse the internet. And I haven't turned on the Hotspot in a couple of days. How did it know there was an update?

    And why won't it allow me to edit the PDF file? I thought that was the coolest feature. You can highlight items on ePub, but PDF editing was not available until that pen icon. I noticed the same "Markup" features were available when I took a screenshot of my "About" part of the settings menu. They were literally available last night in iBooks and today they are not. WTF?

    iBooks not grouping by series - iPad 2 iOS 9.3.5

    I recently started using my old iPad to read e-books, but I can't seem to get it to group by series.

    All the series info is there, I added it myself using EPUB Metadata Editor.

    Is it because the series feature isn't implemented in 9.3.5 or am I missing something else?

    Any recommended apps where I can draw in 3d? then export to autocad or something to 3d print?

    I am not good at 3d pc software. So I figure that on the ipad such software has to be dumbed down to a certain extent. Any help would be great!

    iPad mini display is pooched...

    There is a wide, vertical dead space in the middle of the display. Resetting software didn't correct it; it's obvious that the display panel has either disengaged from its connectors, or it's just NFG. I'll likely have to replace it. Does anyone here have any recommendations for a vendor or brand name for a replacement display? There are more than a few choices on Amazon, I can't imagine they're all good.

    Apple “dark mode”.

    I've just started the transition from a 15inch Macbook Pro, to a 12.9inch iPad Pro. I've always had them, but just recently discovered how to use my iPad more productively. I still have my Macbook at home, but it's stationary. If I can avoid using it, I will. Unless it's time to back-up my iPad Pro. The only thing I really wish Apple would add is a "dark mode".

    I used the night theme on my reddit, and I wish that iOS came with a toggle that does the same thing. I feel like it's easier on my eyes. Is there anyone else out there that would like to see a "dark mode" introduced?

    iPad 2017 keeps on lagging (iOS 11.2.2)

    Is it just me or someone else in here experiencing lagging and sometimes apps getting stuck on their iPad? Like for example, I am on FaceTime and it suddenly exits, and when I click on the green thing above the screen to go back to the FaceTime call, it won't let me...
