I recently purchased the 4K HDR version of Dunkirk (1st iTunes movie purchase) and the volume on it is extremely low. Is it an issue with the film or do other iTunes titles suffer from this?

I have a 300watt Sony soundbar and even at max volume it's relatively low. Netflix and prime movies don't have this issue and even those at 50% volume are way louder than this one at full volume.

Any ideas on why it's like this?

Feature requests: API for apps into Apple Remote app

Would be nice if Apple created an API that allowed tvOS apps to integrate with the Apple Remote app allowing anything from simple controls (i.e. TV guide info, previous channel, etc on DirecTV Now internet streaming TV) to extended information/controls within the Remote app.

Misplaced my remote recently and have been using the Remote app and the sensitivity of navigating menus in the Remote app has been annoying. Allowing an interface that allows app developers to hook into the app with app-specific controls would be awesome.

I understand I could always go the specific app on my iPhone or iPad and airplay from there but sometimes I like the convenience of app switching from within the Remote app as a single controller for the Apple TV.

Amazon prime question

I just installed Amazon Prime. I've had it for years, but never used the TV part. Is there anyway to rate movies and TV shows? Right now most of what shows up in movies when I browse are old soft core porn or foreign adult type movies.

Remote thumb pad is constantly unresponsive

Anyone else having this issue? I have an ATV4, approximately 8 months old. Very lightly used. Occasionally (once every other day or so), when i try to scroll through apps, the thumb pad on the remote will become completely non-responsive. I can still hear the GUI on the ATV4 itself clicking through, but the cursor isn't actually moving.

When this happens, I can revert to using my phone app, and it works just fine, so I think I have narrowed it down to a hardware problem with the remote. I've tried fully charging it, and it still happens.

Just wanted to get a poll on if this was a common occurrence, or if I should take the remote in to the apple store, since I believe its still under manufacturers warranty.

Remote play/pause button only plays, does not pause.

For some reason I now need to hit the area above the menu button to pause a movie, it doesn't matter which app.

I can play movies with the play button, but pause does not work. Any ideas?

I've got a media server with .mp4s and .mkvs (PC running Serviio) and I'm currently viewing through VLC. Are there other better choices? Are there other better free apps?
