| [discussion] AppleTV and Hue Entertainment Posted: 30 Jan 2018 10:55 AM PST I know Hue Entertainment was just announced recently, but I can't find any solid plans for the future of this feature. Do you think that Apple will ever build this feature directly into tvOS or do you think it will be more on the app level? Its hard to imagine Apple building a 3rd party feature into is OS but that would of course be the ideal solution rather than waiting for each app to include it. I'm very interested to see how Apple is going to adapt to current and upcoming home automation features. [link] [comments]  |
| Restore AppleTV 4th Gen - Error 4013 Posted: 30 Jan 2018 10:59 PM PST I'm trying to restore an AppleTV 4th gen via iTunes / USB-C cable. iTunes downloads the system, checks it, tries to install, and pings back with Could not install - Error 4013. Any recommendations on next steps? I see what looks like mountains of crapware when I search for the error code, can't tell the gold from the chaff. Or return to the retailer? [link] [comments]  |
| Apple TV (3rd Gen) not working with live feature on ABC app (direcTV? Posted: 30 Jan 2018 04:56 PM PST Hello, I have a 3rd gen apple TV, and my parents have DirecTV. My dad came over the other day and logged into the ABC app on my apple TV, and we could watch on demand things just fine but the live TV function wouldn't work. It would display what was live, but when you clicked on it, nothing would happen. The light on the Apple TV would blink but it would never play live. The live function worked fine on my laptop. The apple TV software is up to date. I know that ABC and apple TV have had issues meshing in the past, is this that same issue, or is this just me somehow? Is there a known fix? Posted: 30 Jan 2018 09:15 AM PST Two of my Apple TVs updated to the latest beta software and now the iOS remote apps (control center too) can not connect to the appletv. Anyone experiencing as well?
