Posted: 01 Nov 2017 08:34 AM PDT I'm having a hard time watching netflix on my iPad Pro 12.9 due to the fact that all movies are insanely dark. Sometimes I can't even see the face of the actors. Someone else having this problem? edit: I have just found out that this might be happening because of the HDR. Is there a way to turn it off? [link] [comments]
Animated Screen Saver as Cat Toy? Posted: 01 Nov 2017 12:13 PM PDT Awhile ago I saw a video somewhere of a cat playing with a tablet (don't know if it was iPad or some Android device)... There was a kind of cartoon character fish that moved around the screen and caught the cat's attention. When the cat put his paw on the moving thing, it left a colored paw print behind and every press seemed to change to a different color. I've been trying to find that or something similar to try out with my girlfriends young kitten. I've searched the app store with different keywords and didn't find anything that seemed to work like this. It doesn't have to leave a paw print mark behind, but there should be some simple animation to get and keep the kitten's attention. Do any of you folks have a suggestion? Thanks. Shoot front-facing video while split-screen? Posted: 01 Nov 2017 08:43 AM PDT I want to use the front-facing camera to make video, BUT I also want to split the screen (or use slide-over) so I can read off a document FOR the video. I can't seem to find a way to do this. The ipad photos app, which I've been using to record video, simply will NOT let me split the screen or slide-over. Does anyone know a way to record front-facing video WHILE displaying a document on part of the screen? Thanks. [link] [comments]
iPad apps get updated far more frequently than iPhone? Posted: 01 Nov 2017 01:05 PM PDT Is it just me or do developers update the iPad version of their apps a lot more frequently than iPhone versions? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Nov 2017 04:47 AM PDT The angle of approach as I connect it seems to be a factor — I believe it's a physical/mechanical issue. Is this the usual experience or can I expect to get a more reliable smart keyboard if I get this exchanged? [link] [comments]
Places other than Apple to purchase iPad Pro Posted: 01 Nov 2017 06:47 AM PDT Hi there, I'm going to purchase the iPad Pro 10.5 inch along with the Apple Pencil for school next semester, I was curious if people knew of good places to order online. I'm thinking of getting a refurbished or open box model. Thanks PS: I'm in Canada [link] [comments]
iOS 11 screenshot cropping convenience Posted: 31 Oct 2017 08:50 PM PDT Just noticed that if you screenshot two apps in split view, when you crop the screenshot, it will snap to the edge between the apps so you can easily just get one app and not the other. That's the kind of little convenience features I really like to see. [link] [comments]
Logitech Create or Slim Keyboard for 12.9" iPad Pro (2017)? Posted: 01 Nov 2017 10:44 AM PDT Hello! I am a college student who is using an iPP to take both written and typed notes in lectures. I have read reviews about the Logitech Create and Slim Keyboard but would like more input, especially for a college environment. We have relatively small desks in lecture halls, but I have seen a person use a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 with the kickstand. I usually have a flat (but limited) surface to put my iPP on as well. Create Keyboard (from what I've read):
Slim Keyboard (from what I've read):
For both, people left reviews that they stopped working after <1 year, with some saying it stopped working after one month or so. Let me know what you think. Thank you so much! [link] [comments]

How can I remove an autocorrect suggestion? Posted: 01 Nov 2017 05:40 AM PDT I've tried resetting keyboard dictionary and I've looked at my shortcut lists... my iPad keeps trying to change 'it' to 'I.T' ... which makes no sense. Even misspells. Ut, ot ... all of it this fucking iPad keeps trying to change, no matter how many times I press that 'x' to cancel the suggestion or erase it. I don't even type that abbreviation out...where the hell did this come from and how can I stop it from happening? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Nov 2017 09:31 AM PDT After the recent update I noticed that Safari is now in the dock. Is there a way to remove it from the dock? I've looked but can't find a way. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Nov 2017 01:43 AM PDT Dev here. Whenever I Remote since ios11 into my work windows machine, I can no longer use single quotes in sql server management Studio with the Smart Keyboard. ' I can, but ssms doesn't read them as single quotes so I can't query anymore. I think it has to do with character encoding, and was curious if anyone else has come across this or similar? Weird Starbucks side-effect on my 10.5” iPad Pro’s Smart Keyboard Posted: 31 Oct 2017 03:42 PM PDT Okay...I admit this is weird but I can reproduce this over and over again. I travel with my iPad Pro 10.5" everywhere...multiple clients, multiple locations, all day long, everyday. It works flawlessly, as does the pencil and the Smart Keyboard. However...whenever I go into Starbucks and connect to the wifi, the Smart Keyboard just stops working. I remove it and connect it again to the iPad...no change. The only way I can get it to work again is to reboot the iPad. If I do that it immediately starts working like a charm. How the hell can a wifi connection cause the keyboard to lose physical connectivity to the iPad? What am I missing? Anyways, just thought I'd share this weird phenomena on the spookiest day of the year. Happy Halloween. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Nov 2017 04:21 AM PDT Hey guys, just wanted to ask if it's actually worth the price tag because I don't like the other keyboard options for my iPad. Does the connection keep getting disrupted all the time or is it mostly due to iOS 11 bugs? How's the quality of the keyboard and how well does it hold up over time? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Nov 2017 06:16 AM PDT For reference, I'm on a iPad 10.5''. Ever since the first iOS 11 beta came out, I've had this annoying issue, where going to the control center/swapping apps would stutter and it just felt choppy compared to anywhere else. The only solution I found was to completely start clean, but obviously that was not a great feeling. Today, I started clean yet again for the public release of 11.1 and as such, everything was buttery smooth. Until, I started changing my iPad settings, and the choppiness was back. I hadn't changed much yet so I narrowed it down to either Text size, or Control Center icons. After changing back the Text size to default, it stayed the same, so I gave the Control Center icons a try, and reduced them back to the default 3, and here we go. Smooth again. I then tried adding all the options just to check, and it was a stuttery mess. Can someone try it out for me and see if they have the same issue? And also, where can I report this issue to Apple? Questions about purchasing ipads and their cores Posted: 01 Nov 2017 06:44 AM PDT Ok... Is there a difference between a dual-core and a tri-core ipad? There is literally no change between them both... I need to know the added benefits of the tri-core and how is it useful... Thanks i adore the size of the ipad mini 4 and i bet its price will drop dramatically this black friday so i am deciding between mini 4 and air 2... Is the speed difference huge? ty... Posted: 31 Oct 2017 06:44 PM PDT I simply cannot imagine anymore life without my iPad Mini 4 .... C'mon "iPad Mini Pro"! lol It does everything drsktops (what are those ...?) & laptops do, but it's pocketable. Plus, laptops can't begin to approach its battery life. Just the convienence, the ease of use, the power, the versatility, the fun of it: iPad truly one of those things that you, as the cliché goes, often think about how you could have possibly done computing things without it before. I just wish Apple would lift its ban on emulators. That's the only thing it [link] [comments] |
