The sound is on, the volume is up and I've deleted and remade both alarms and reset my phone but it still won't work. | iPhone 7: iMessage no longer working after 11.0.3 update? Posted: 24 Oct 2017 04:43 PM PDT So my iPhone 7 updated itself this morning when it was plugged into the charger. I've noticed my cell signal is barely one bar (usually I'm at -60 in field test mode, which is phenomenal strength) and my WiFi is crawling. Every text I send defaults to SMS and I can't receive any iMessages. I've tested this at lunch with my friends who all have iPhones, and nothing will deliver to my phone. I eventually get SMS texts a few minutes later, and they come in blasts. For example, my buddy sent me three texts throughout the day, but I just got them all at the same time at 4:30. Short of ordering a new SIM card from AT&T, why can't I get iMessage to work? [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 24 Oct 2017 09:53 PM PDT Long story short cracked my screen in June was fine with it but 2 weeks ago I dropped it again and my LCD panel broke big black spot covering that slowly spread but now the screen is going crazy and just doing whatever it wants. | Posted: 24 Oct 2017 09:48 PM PDT Hi, I just got an iPhone 8 Plus about October 1st. I use my phone as often as the next person, but I take care of it. I don't get liquids on it and try to keep it from getting dirty/dusty, but obviously I'm not perfect. Anyways, a couple days ago while at work the home button started going on the fritz. When I'm press it, I'd feel the pressure tap a bunch of times very fast then it couldn't register anything. Tried restart it to see if that would fix it, but no dice. After doing research some people and sites seemed to say that it's more likely a software problem than a hardware one? Unsure about that. Any ideas? I've had the phone less than a month and it's already got a problem. First big issue I've ever had with an iPhone since like the 4S years ago. Note: I've already done the setting where you can use the screen as a makeshift home button with that little dot you can slide around, but that doesn't change the fact that I've got a month old phone with faulty tech. I don't want to have to pay $99 and use one of my two fixes on a problem that just happened, if I don't have to. Thanks for any replies. [link] [comments]  |

| iPhone 6+ Shaking Camera - Best Place to Get It Repaired? Cost? Time? Posted: 24 Oct 2017 01:20 PM PDT My iPhone 6+ has been having the same issue that many have been having with the rear-facing camera shaking and the lenses misaligning. I called Apple and they said it was no longer honoring repairing this under warranty and they would have to for all intents and purposes have to check the entire device and basically give me a new phone. Are there any recommended fixes for this? Do any electronics places specifically replace cameras in these models? It's frustrating that this is a known flaw with these devices and Apple won't do anything since my phone isn't within a magic range of serial numbers. Thanks for your help. [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone 7 Photos organizing/folder/duplicates Posted: 24 Oct 2017 03:41 PM PDT I have 100 pictures in my Photos app for my iPhone 7 - but I want to organize them into specific folders (Screengrabs, Friends, Work) - but when I move a picture into the newly made folder - the picture both exists in that new folder AND STILL in photos! (this would be like taking 100 files on a Mac and trying to move them into new organized folders - but the files don't move, just duplicate) My goal is to organize and not clog up my photostream by moving specific pictures into specific folders. And worse, when I delete the picture from the new folder - it also deletes the duplicate from photostream. Any advice? Please help! Thanks! [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 24 Oct 2017 03:27 PM PDT My boss seemed kind of sorry about it and I had to go to school so I left thinking that was the only problem. Later on trying to charge it would charge on and off like when you have a bad cord with any cord. As of now the receiver for phone calls sounds normal and phone is mostly charging but when any cable connected to it moves it will stop charging then charge again. At this point I don't have a warranty on it or money to take it to get repaired. Is there any other way to tell if there is permanent damage or will it kick in later? Any way I can get my boss to pay for repairs? Btw they are Asian and that's why rice was around and their first recommendation. I also read that putting in rice can be bad too. [link] [comments]  |

My iPhone SE (brand new 128GB model) detects touches near edge of the screen way off, like almost 1 cm closer to the screen edge than my finger really is. This makes tapping on GUI elements there very hard. For example the three dots button in app store. I have to tap almost 1 cm to the left of it to work. Apparently iPhone 5S, 5C (and SE, it seems) have very bad touch accuracy. Is there anything I can do? PS: Can post pictures, if the description is unclear. [link] [comments]  |

This still happens with my earphones and speakers through Bluetooth, so it's not an issue with the phone speakers. This is happening on a new iPhone 7 I've had for a couple of weeks now. Now when I plug iPhone in, iTunes will not let me get past the setup page. I've already restored from backup. What's going on here and how do I fix it?
