    Confused about Rortos Flight Simulators

    Posted: 06 Jun 2022 09:18 AM PDT

Hi, I'm a pretty big fan of flight and simulation. I'm curious about whether anyone here knows of the difference between two apps by Rortos - Carrier Landings Pro and F-18 Carrier Landing.

Both look super similar and I'm curious whether I should get both or one or the other.

Is mobile gaming too corrupt to be saved at this point? (Diablo:Immortal)

    Posted: 06 Jun 2022 01:19 PM PDT

Diablo: Immortal, one of the most anticipated mobile games of the year, has arrived. And in short order, it's revealed itself to be one of the most disgraceful and predatory examples of the Free-To-Play model ever created.

What makes this one so tough to swallow is that it comes in the form of a legitimate offering - a beloved franchise by a (once) respected studio, with solid production value, especially for mobile. Rather than charging a premium 20 or even 30 dollars on the app store (a price that I'm sure many would go for), Blizzard and Activision have taken the low road in hopes to drain the most vulnerable of thousands of dollars with every addictive, dirty trick in the book.

It frustrates me to no end that people continue to scoff at great offerings like Divinity or Xcom because of their 20 dollar price tag, but then proceed to spend hundreds of dollars on "games" where psychologists and marketing folks likely outnumbered developers and artists 2 to 1.

Besides being immoral and doing real damage to susceptible youth (and those with gambling addictions), this is a huge blow to the industry in general. When Diablo: Immortal succeeds to rake in 10x the amount as other pay-once, play forever offerings free of loot boxes, gems and other garbage, we can expect to see more and more of this junk from even the mainstream publishing houses.

I wonder at this point if mobile gaming can be saved? Flipping through the app store already feels like looking for a diamond in a dumpster of dirty needles. How do you educate people to stop falling for F2P? How do you rewire people to take the 100 bucks they spend on gems to go buy much better games and stop this crap from flooding the market?

Is there an emulator for older iOS versions?

I'd like to play ace combat xi for the older iPhones. And you can't do it on newer phones :( I have a iPhone 7 if that helps)
