- Can’t turn off this accessibility feature. I’ve contacted Apple. They walked me through the accessibility, then ended up just having me reset the device. I reset and restored: didn’t work. I’ve reset without restoring. This has been on for months and I can’t figure out how to turn off this feature.

| How to Remove DirecTV from Apps/Services Connected to AppleTV App Posted: 12 Jun 2022 12:37 PM PDT I recently upgraded to AppleTV 4K from previous version. When I added my DirecTV satellite service credentials to the new unit, I was asked if I wanted to connect those to the AppleTV app. I said yes, though I wondered how that would work. It turns out it acts as if I had a DirecTV streaming subscription, which I don't. So it keeps showing and suggesting that I stream things that are available on the DirecTV streaming app, for which I have no subscription. I tried to find the setting that tracks and manages those connections and cannot find it. I can't just delete my DirecTV credentials, because I need that to be available for various aps and services that need a cable or satellite subscription. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 12 Jun 2022 01:15 PM PDT The last two multi language shows I've watched (Tehran and Now and Then), are showing English subtitles even during the English-speaking dialogue when I have subtitle options set to automatic. | Posted: 12 Jun 2022 09:15 AM PDT I bought an Apple TV 4K yesterday and tried watching a movie on iTunes, but noticed that the audio was about half a second behind the video. This happens in every app. I searched the subreddit for similar issues and tried all of the fixes (changing audio on TV to PCM, calibrating wireless audio for SDR and HDR, turning off match frame rate, etc). The only thing that worked was changing my TV picture to 'Game' mode, but you lose picture quality that way. I also don't have any lag when listening through AirPods Pro. ATV is connected to a 2018 LG TV with the Belkin HDMI cable, and the TV is connected to a soundbar via HDMI ARC. I do not have audio delay when using the TV's built-in apps. Can anyone help? I can play videos when on cellular data however, the "This video isn't available to watch in the country or region you're currently in." alert always pops up when I try switching to wifi. I checked my IP address using the two and both showed the same country (where I am residing at). Anyone encountered this problem before? Any idea how to fix this? [link] [comments] | ||

It was frozen on one app so I did a manual reset from the remote and now it's stuck on a black screen with a constant blinking light. Figured it was just taking its time but it's been hours. Laptop won't show the device so I can't reset it through iTunes. Just unplugged it hoping it will fix itself when I plug it back in tomorrow morning. Has anyone else experience something like this? I am using with two OG (2018) HomePods in a stereo pair and the ATV volume slider will just randomly pop up and thing immediately disappear. No actual effects on volume just slides in and out. But severance was obviously incredible. I've also watched See but I got bored around the time they went for peace talks and abandoned it. I watched Servant too but I felt it was too slow and I must have watched 6-8 episodes but it felt like it just wasn't going anywhere quickly so I stopped. Every once in a while, likely every 20 minutes or so, the movie I'm watching on Air Video HD will ''jump back'' a few seconds and repeat what I just saw. Only happens on the Apple TV, as I watch movies using Air Video on my iPad and never see the same thing. I never tested out if it actually worked but I turned off the tv turned it back on and the soundbar wouldn't turn on with it? All my music is downloaded to a 3rd party app which I then airplay to all my speakers. Great! Now, I just want to enjoy my album art, see the current track, and control playback on my Apple TV. But I can't seem to do this. There must be a way! I have had very sporadic success opening the music app (on my ATV) and going to Now Playing, occasionally it will show my music there but very rarely. Connecting to my Apple TV via airplay on my phone doesn't do anything. I feel like I'm missing something because everything is connected and on the same network/Apple ID so it shouldn't be an issue yet it is. When I hold down the top right button on my remote and open the side menu, and I am connect to my ATV via airplay while I'm playing music from my phone, it DOES show the music under the "sleep" button. | Posted: 11 Jun 2022 10:51 AM PDT I was watching Severance and noticing the quality of a scene would be terrible and then soon as the next one starts it's back in 4k. I eventually decided to rewind and found that whenever a scene is low resolution you can rewind and it will be low resolution for that exact scene every single time no matter what you do. I'm getting 160mbps over WiFi and never have any issues on any other app, in fact I've only watched this show and Jon Stewart's and this show is the only one to do it that I've seen but I'm kind of expecting it to be a normal thing they do with their big shows. I even tried watching it at a different house with the same exact low res scenes. The part that makes me most suspicious is it doesn't do it at all the first couple episodes until you're hooked then unimportant scenes start lowering in quality only for the exact duration of the scene. And when I do it straight from my MacBook to my TV the latency is really bad making anything I wanna watch through doing this unwatchable.
