    When you factory reset a phone, but have everything backed up will your notes in the note app get saved or no?

    Im looking into selling my Iphone XR and factory reseting it, and i had some notes in the notes app that i use and dont want to lose.

    So I wasn't sure if those get saved when you back your account up before you factory reset?

    Btw im talking about the built in app that allows you to write notes.

    I am not good with tech at all, i am so sorry. i got a new phone and the worker at at&t backed everything up for me. My password keychain says it isn't like linked or anything, but it 100% is we backed everything up. how do i get it, i am so sad i locked my bus card trying to load it so i can go home 😭 it's probably easy i am just stressed sorry pls help

    I have an old Mac with over 1TB of files created over 15 years or so on several Macs. I've bought a new Mac but want to only bring over files that I've modified in the past five years. Sounds easy, but I also only want photos and emails from the past five years, and I want the full directory structure to exist on the new machine even if some folders are empty because none of the files were edited recently.

    Can anyone recommend a process or utility that would make this manageable without a lot of manual work? I also plan to keep all of the old files on an external hard drive (yes, backed up) in case I need anything old.

    Ideas?

    mother opened suspicious pdf link on Gmail mobile iOS 15.5

    My mom uses an iPhone and one of those PayPal phishing emails was missed by Gmail's spam filter.
    She opened the PDF but did not input any information. She quickly deleted and reporting as phishing. Does she need to wipe and restore her phone? Her phone is not jailbroken.

    Apple ID not active ?

    Made a new Apple ID two days ago for my new Mac book. Today it tells me that It's not active. Not a huge deal, I just logged into my other Apple ID, however I don't want this to happen again, or I'm pretty fucked.

    Is this a fucked up bug or did I do something to get it deactivated? I was on a sketchy streaming website the other day with a lot of pop ups, although that has never caused any issues on my other devices.

    Docking station for mac

    i bought the 14 inch mcbook pro and i also want to use it instead off my desktop(which i woud sell) at home but would keep the monitos and periferals and i need a dock or sth to use instead that conects easy with not to many cables got a 1440p 144hz display and a 1080p 144hz and nothing else special only more usb cables and I also heard about bad ones destroying the battery

    MacBook Pro restarts itself every two days and USB-C ports stop responding

    Since last Thursday, my MacBook restarts itself (because of an unknown error) and once restarted, the USB ports are no longer responsive. The battery status icon will continue to update the battery percentage in real time, but the icon itself is frozen on wall charger mode (whether or not it's plugged in.)

    The first time it happened I tried the usual resets but the issue didn't fix itself until an Apple rep had me restart the computer in Safe Mode. Two days later (Saturday) it happened again and I try the usual fixes (including SM) but nothing worked. The issue doesn't fix itself until the battery died and the system (I'm assuming) reset itself in such a way that solved the problem.

    I immediately updated to Monterey (as I was told this could fix the issue permanently). But it didn't. It happened again this morning and nothing is fixing the issue. I am waiting until the battery dies again but, does this sound familiar to anyone?

    Does anyone know why an Apple Watch would randomly stop vibrating for texts, alarms, etc?

    When I restart the watch, it starts to vibrate properly again but this is happened to me a few times in the past. It's gotten to the point where I can't trust my watch to wake me up in the morning.

    Really need assistance on this iMac repair

    About one year ago I bought a faulty Late 2009 21" iMac and I still can't figure out what exactly is wrong with it. When I connect it to a power outlet and press the power button, nothing happens. When I plug in the powercable while holding the power button and then press the power button again, the fans start spinning at full speed, but nothing appears on the screen.

    I already tried replacing the power supply, the logic board and the power cable, but nothing seems to work. I accidentally bought and installed a logic board with a dedicated graphics card slot the first time and the iMac then chimed after I put it back together. Unfortunately, as I have no dedicated graphics card and this model was manufactured with integrated NVIDIA graphics, I bought the same logic board as the original via eBay and installed that one in the machine. Afterwards, it did nothing again.

    I feel like I'm out of options and have no idea what else I can try. Could it be something else? Maybe another part is broken? Or cable? I've checked all connections and didn't notice any damage.

    Any help or advice is very much appreciated!

    Disable “airtag found moving with you”

    Hey all…long story short I live in NYC. Car theft/robbery/jacking has unfortunately become a lot more common in the recent past. I've already had my car broken into twice this year, once in my own driveway, and I KNOW I locked my doors, but that's a whole other story. In hopes of helping with this I purchased an airtag to hide somewhere in my car. Works great, I was happy with it. Until my sister borrowed my car one day and her work phone had a message pop up on it that said "airtag found moving with you - the location of this airtag can be seen by the owner" which OBVIOUSLY thwarts my attempt at locating my car if a would be car thief steals it. Is there a way to disable this from showing up or should I look into a different solution? Everything I see online is how to disable said airtag from tracking you, which again only helps a car thief lol. Thanks in advance!

    Replacing keyboard on M1 Air

    Hey all. Got a strange question for you. I bought a M1 Air with a Spanish keyboard but would like to replace the keys for a UK set. This involves replacing about 20 keys. I bought a couple of aftermarket sets but they were less than ideal and didn't fit well. Currently using vinyl stickers which fit over the keys.

    I'd like to ask if anyone's had experience getting Apple to replace keys, what they found and roughly how much it cost.

    In South America atm but will be in the US soon.

    2017 MacBook pro screen flickering

    I reset my macbook recently and the screen has been intermittently flickering ever since. This was never an issue before. I've tried resetting pram, nvram, smc etc. i've also updated and downgraded to different versions of macOS and still the issue persists. the flickering happens whether i'm connected to power or otherwise. Now here's the weird part - the flickering stops when i'm watching a video, moving mouse cursor around on screen, or have an application open that is constantly refreshing data. the flickering also doesn't happen when i'm in safe mode or when i boot into windows OS using boot camp. Any help in figuring out what's happening is appreciated!
