- Hey everyone! I left my iPad on the table and left the house. I came back after a few hours and there were these weird marks which appear to be within the screen. What are these and why did they pop up all of a sudden? What’s the solution? I’m really worried about it.

| How to reduce battery health (currently 80%)! Posted: 08 Jun 2022 11:21 AM PDT My iPhone SE 2020 has not been doing very well battery wise since January 2022 when the health was 81%. I thought - great I'll get a replacement under apple care when it drops to 79%. We're now in June and it is only 80%! This is despite normal use, charging twice a day etc. I went to apple and they wouldn't replace - said it needs to be 79%. I have 4 days left in my apple care. I've been streaming YouTube none stop on 4g. Charging my battery to 20% then letting it deplete to 0%. Any tips how I can get this thing down to 79% in 4days?!?! Thanks! [link] [comments] |

| Unable to see my Mac Safari pages (tabs) on iPhone. Posted: 08 Jun 2022 05:49 PM PDT Before iOS 15 this was perfectly doable and you could even close pages on your devices with iPhone but it seems over complicated to me now. On iPhone, my safari start page is edited so the iCloud tab module appears the first but I don't see anything from my Mac. On the Mac I have added the iCloud tabs button to the bar in safari but it is not showing anything and as a result I can't get neither the open tabs or the existing groups on iPhone. Anything I am missing here? How do you guys get over this? Do you find it best this way as opposed to what it was in iOS 14? Thanks beforehand. [link] [comments] |

Yesterday I purchased some TV shows from itunes( a complete series) It took awhile to download every episode the thing is they do not play anywhere. I have a windows Acer and they do not play on iTunes,Windows Media Player or VLC. I tied yesterday to play the tv show on iTunes and a small screen outside of iTunes popped up playing only audio but it was multicoloured white noise like on the TV. What do I do [link] [comments] |

I use chrome on an iPhone and none of my add blocks and stuff work except on safari. I don't mind to much about adds in general but I do mind about ads that open a new tab as I scroll past, and one site I read on even replaces it's self with an ad site and opens itself in a new tab. This seems like something that should be easy to fix, is there something I can do that puts up a pop up asking for confirmation before opening a new tab or clicking on a link? | Are there any "holy grail" AirPod Pro tips? Posted: 08 Jun 2022 04:32 PM PDT I've tried every stock size as well as several sizes of a 3rd party memory foam tip. The AirPods slip out every 30-60 seconds and break the seal. My ears naturally produce a lot of wax so keeping the grip is really difficult, but I also would still like the AirPod Pros to stay in their case (so ear hooks or any large accessories are out of the question). I've been trying to clean up my phone's hard drive, I noticed the Apple Music app has a TON of docs and data that isn't related to the music I have downloaded. I deleted all my downloaded music, I deleted the app from my phone, reinstalled it, only downloaded one playlist (200MBs), but my Music app still has over 4Gigs of docs and data. It was over 5Gigs before I deleted and reinstalled. Anyone know why this is, ways to fix it? Thanks! [link] [comments] |

| Carbon Copy Cloner Backup Issue Question Posted: 08 Jun 2022 02:35 PM PDT I use CCC on my iMac. I have my settings so it backs up a 5 TB onto a 6 TB Lacie drive whenever plugged in. I always get the "backup complete" message and have assumed everything was working fine. I finally opened my 6 TB drive today to make sure things were working and I saw that the most recent file on my 6 TB drive was from January of this year while I have files on my 5 TB drive from today and every month since Jan. I have 3 TB of free space on both drives so I'm wondering, if backups are "complete, why is it stopping file backup after January? Does anyone have any insight here? [link] [comments] |
| Does taking iPhone 12 out of the hard case on and off too many times damage/bend the phone? Posted: 08 Jun 2022 10:17 AM PDT I took off my case on iPhone 12 to clean the dust off. But the case is very rigid, so I had to use a lot of force to pry one corner off. The bottom case corners caught the phone and I had to use more force to get the rest of the case off. When putting the case back on, I placed the phone in the wrong orientation and placed a lot of pressure on the phone without knowing one of the buttons was caught in the case. Will I damage my phone if I use a lot of force to take it on and off the rigid case too many times? [link] [comments] |
| 12.9” iPad Pro 2020 with Phantom Touches - Updated to iPadOS 15.5 Posted: 08 Jun 2022 01:57 PM PDT Hello! I have 2020 iPad Pro that started experiencing phantom touches last night while watching YoutubE. This has now expanded to other apps, notably Safari and has even called someone on FaceTime. The screen also occasionally freezes and I'm not able to do anything - like hang up the FaceTime - until I put the iPad to sleep and then turn it back on. Yesterday I tried restarting the device and updated to OS 15.5. Neither of these things helped. Today, on suggestion of Apple Chat I did a hard reset of my iPad and set it up from a back up. This helped for several hours but it is now just as bad as it was. Apple chat now wants me to have it sent in for a hardware diagnostic check. From what I have read online, this was a common problem a couple years ago in OS 13 and there doesn't really seem to be a fix, however, I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware problem. Considering my iPad will not be getting some of the M1 features in iPadOS 16, it seems like very peculiar timing and a bit like planned obsolescence to me… Anyway, I do have an off-brand paper like screen protector on my iPad that I am considering peeling off to see if that helps. It has been on for months though, so I can't imagine it's all of a sudden causing problems. I also have a specialty minimal case on it and it primarily is connected to my magic keyboard. If anyone else experienced the phantom touch and has a solution, please let me know! I have read online but haven't seen anything. Thanks! [link] [comments] |

Has anyone dealt with an iPhone (12 mini) alarm that starts out at a loud volume but then becomes extremely quiet after about 1 second? Edit: it looks like the attention awareness feature may have been responsible. I've turned it off and the volume issue no longer seems to be happening. However, the initial problem certainly was not triggered by the phone being pointed at my face this morning—so either there's a bug with that feature, or perhaps it's something else and the issue has not been resolved.
