No more crypt keeper selfies! Edit: posting this here because I searched for this answer for days and discovered this trick on accident. Posted: 01 May 2022 05:43 PM PDT The way I see the shine from my diamond necklance, doesn't reflect what the xamera captures. I am wondering what exactly can be adjusted on the camera settings to be closer to what I'm seeing irl. Specifically the rainbow shine that is created while the necklace sits under a light. It gets captured well when it is out of focus, but I don't have much control focusing out within the app, it is kind've trial and error. [link] [comments] | ||
| Is it worth fixing my iphone 5s? Posted: 01 May 2022 05:53 PM PDT I still have my 5s that I bought back in 2013 and a few years ago I accidentally dropped it causing the screen to stop functioning completely. The display does work but the touchscreen is totally busted. The quality is great with a few scratches on the back but everything else is pretty much in good shape. I took it to a repair store and they said it costs around $150 to repair and they themselves said that it's not worth it but I was wondering what you guys think? Should I bother fixing it? As far as usefulness goes, I might be able to make a use out of it as a music player or play around with it as a second device or even sell it on ebay for some profit. The phone operates fine, but it no longer makes it through the day. I have to charge it extra at least once around midday. So is it time to replace the battery? My big dilemma is if I should get something with 64GB storage (which seems to be the minimum for newer phones) or if I should aim for more. I have my 32 GB constantly topped, but don't know how much storage I could potentially use, given that I rarely have a hard time clearing out some stuff I don't really use and could potentially delete to make space for whatever I need. | Posted: 01 May 2022 06:31 PM PDT So I've had my IPhone 11 for over two years now and I've recently started experiencing some major glitches. First of all, it has started restarting out of complete nowhere probably 10+ times a day. This usually happens when I'm trying to actually use my phone rather than when it's just sitting there. Often I'll be scrolling through an app for a while and when I go to close the app it will restart. Once it comes back on I'll try unlocking it and it will restart again. This will either happen once or 5+ times. It is extremely frustrating. Now, I'm having issues FaceTiming people. For example, when I try FaceTiming someone it sometimes won't ring or connect and if it does I cannot see/hear the other person and have to manually restart my phone to get it to work. I'm also having network connectivity issues even though nothing is wrong with my WiFi. Messages aren't sending or receiving correctly and phone is freezing multiple times a day. Basically, anything that can go wrong with my phone is indeed going wrong. I don't wanna have to buy a new phone and I wanna see if there's anything I can do to fix it before having to take it into the store. Does anyone have any remedies for these problems?? This is all very frustrating and I am open to literally any ideas on how to fix my phone. (I've already tried restarting in network setting, but it did not change anything). Like I get it, trying to look out for my hearing I get it. I happen to use music in lieu of addictive anxiety meds, and it really only helps me when I can feel the bass on my head. My headphones are both the AirPods Pro and the Max, though I much prefer the max because of the bass. Anyway to turn this off or do I just have to shrug it off? Please be nice 😅 I've only ever had two iPhones and the last one wasn't since the 5c so I'm still learning. It's a 12 if that matters. TIA! [link] [comments] | ||

My theory is that the constant use of antibacterial wipes have somehow gotten in and muffled/destroyed the speaker. My theory was further supported by my friend, who have the exact same thing happen to him. Now, I should point out that we both perhaps overdo the cleanliness (We wipe down our phones 4-5 times a week). Do anyone else have something similar happen to them ? [link] [comments] | ||

We get each other's iMessages (only, not texts from android users), FaceTime calls show up on both phones, and when her AirPods even connect on both phones. I've messed with settings and nothing seems to work. I'm ok with us being connected for things like the App Store, and Find My iPhone. But how do I stop it from sharing everything else?? If there is no email option, I'm usually screwed. Is there anything I can try to maybe fix this? I've checked my setting and no red flags, including the filter unknown messages being off.
