iPhone 13 Pro Max goes toe to toe in gaming performance with Red Magic 7 Pro in Genshin Impact FPS Test!

First and foremost, the results were definitely not what I expected. I figured the Red Magic 7 Pro would drastically beat the iPhone 13 Pro Max in gaming performance in my 15 Min Genshin Impact FPS test after seeing the Red Magic 7 Pro show 10% improvement in GPU sustained performance in benchmarks and also due to having a built-in 20,000 RPM fan + Cooling plate.

Anyways, starting with FPS, the iPhone managed to average 58.6 while the Red Magic averaged 58.5. Just to note, I did use low power mode for the iPhone in this test, please see my other posts if your wonder why. The red Magic however, did have less fps dips. Both devices were tested in the inazuma part of game and during heavy weather conditions.

As for temps, the red magic peaked at 44c while the iPhone peaked at a whooping 48c!! The iPhone got insanely hot! However, I must note, I did purposely conduct this test at 30c ambient temps to quickly push these devices to their limits. I definitely believe in lower ambient temps both devices will have significantly lower peak temps.

Last, as for power consumption, the iPhone averaged and used 4.1 watts of power while the Red Magic used a whooping 9.6 watts of power. This is insane! This truly shows how hard the red magic worked vs the iPhone. Another thing I must note, graphics and visuals looked leaps and bounds better on the iPhone! All in all, I hope this was informative to those interested in the performance differences between these devices. One thing I must note, the Red Magic does however, offer an overall better gaming experience due to built-in 500hz triggers and 960hz touch sampling. But again, performance is either the same or at times slightly better with the iPhone 13 Pro Max when looking at the FPS and power consumption average ratio.

Been on a search for some games to my gf's likings, currently at a dead end. She's into: - anime or pixel style art (stardew valley) - farming / economy / civilisation (kind of like Harvest Moon?) - side quests (like Genshin impact) - multiplayer (local host or online doesn't matter) - any price is fine (preferably paid with no/limited iap's)

Any recommendations? Sorry if it's so specific, thank you!
