| Today I got my 3 year old 11 Pro Max replaced for free. Posted: 04 Apr 2022 05:38 AM PDT As the title says today Apple replaced my 3 year old phone for a new one (same model). Long story short I got the battery of my old phone replaced 6 months ago, yesterday it came in contact with some water and all cameras had condensation in them and for some reason the Face ID stopped working altogether. Today I brought the phone in to the Apple store not sure what to expect, to be completely honest I thought I either had to pay for a repair or just buy a new phone.. the guy that helped me replaced the whole unit with a new one instead! My old phone was out of warranty and never had Apple care! Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? I'm still quite in shock I got a brand new phone just like that! My guess is that the water got in because the phone wasn't sealed properly after the battery replacement, I also think that the liquid damage sensor was not triggered because he checked it in front of me and said nothing. You can get Picture in Picture for YouTube videos if you use Firefox on desktop mode. It will also keep playing if you turn off the screen. I thought that I was going to dislike the weight of the 13 Pro but find the it feels so much more acure in my hand. I want to be able to have my kids iphone turn data on in the mornings when going to school, then off when he gets home and back on wifi. It seems no matter what I turn off in settings and limit apps to, data still get used on wifi and I'd like to stop this from happening. I recently saw the Moto Razr and Galaxy Flip 3. They look like decent devices with their own set of flaws yet somehow not the worst devices in the market rn. I wonder if Apple would try to make a iPhone flip? And would that work? The phone has the chance to dub itself as a small screen and a large screen phone. Do we have the tech for it? Posted: 03 Apr 2022 12:14 PM PDT I know this sounds like a silly discussion, but there's a lot of people who call the iPod a dying/dead brand. I don't think the iPod is dying/dead, it just evolved into the iPhone and iPad. Apple today has 3 main skews of basically the same tablet product:
The relevance of the iPod has dwindled due to being redundant in today's smart phone market (IE: why would I own a iPod if I have already own a smart phone?). However, could you not make the argument that the iPhone and the iPad are part of the iPod brand, just as separate skews? The iPod came first and obviously inspired the names and designs of those two products. [link] [comments] | ||

| iPhone charges fast again after 15.4.1 Posted: 03 Apr 2022 10:03 PM PDT I know it's been widely reported that version 8.5 watchOS broke fast charging for the Apple Watch, but I also believe that that iOS 15.4 broke fast charging for the iPhone. My iPhone didn't charge it's fastest after updating to 15.4, I would normally put my phone to charge before going out it and would quickly charge. After updating to 15.4 my phone (iPhone 13 Pro Max) would way longer than normal to charge to full. After updating to 15.4.1 my phone now charges way faster like it used. [link] [comments] | ||
