    I have a Galaxy Watch 4 and to be honest, it's boring as shit but I keep hearing people rave about the apple watch. What am I missing out on besides receiving notifications/calls and fitness tracking?

    I want to make the switch to an iPhone in about a year - but for now I'd like an Apple Watch instead of the Galaxy watch since I'll be upgrading.

    Is it possible to get an Apple Watch, pair it with her phone initially but then have it standalone without access to her things?

    I'd rather not get notifications from her phone all day if possible, haha.

    Most accurate distance calculation while swimming?

    Hey everyone!

    I recently got an Apple Watch 7 and I used it in a 25-meter pool last night. However, the watch was calculating 25 meters more at one point, which was very unusual. At the end, I believe the calculation was fine, but I still don't understand why it showed 100 meters instead of 75 at one point.

    I was changing between freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke swimming, so I'm not sure if that was the reason. It wasn't a big deal, but I'd like to know if someone knows how to avoid this.

    How is the calendar app so useless on AW? the furthest out you can see is a monthly view, but you can see previous or future months?

    Manually add a workout

    I'm on vacation and forgot to recharge my watch. As a result, I did not record a workout and missed my move goal for the day by 55 calories breaking a 400+ day streak. There used to be a way to manually add a workout to the Health app that I used before but it looks like they changed the behavior in the last update and I cant figure out a way to do it.

    Is there a way to still do this that works or am I SOL?

    I've tried multiple film types and hard glass types and they all seem to form bubbles and start lifting off the corners. Do I just suck at applying it? Should I just use a case instead.

    Volume Control for TV from my watch not working

    So I can control volume for everything in my home from the remote app on my watch except my Apple TV 4Ks.

    The volume control does work from my iPhone now playing thing when the watch is paired so I don't think it's a problem with the TV setup.

    The watch also controls the volume for everything else just fine.

    I've tried all kinds of internet searching and haven't even found out if this is supposed to work or not. Is it? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

    Apple Watch SE brightness problem

    I can't change the brightness of my Apple Watch SE. Neither from the setting or from the Watch app in iPhone. I only can change it if I ask Siri to do it, so I don't think it's a hardware problem. Has anyone had the same problem?

    Texting Not Working While Away From Phone

    Hello, I was under the impression that if one owns an LTE Watch that they could leave their phone at home and just bring the Watch with them instead. Is this not the case?

    I just got mine yesterday and texting would not work on it when I took it to work this morning, leaving my phone at home. Do I have to have it within some sort of range or is something not right? Please and thank you.

    I've looked many reviews about the series 7, but for the money Idk if its worth it. I just want an Apple Watch with cellular. Maybe a series 3, 6 or SE would be more compelling? Would love to hear your comments or suggestions

    AW Fitness & traveling - am I missing something or is the watch lacking a few key aspects that make sense on a long travel day?

    Hi. 2 quick questions.

    I travel a lot, but only recently have I gotten the Fitness/Streaks bug.

    1. Is there really no option to "pause" streaks? Screw travel - what about actual (healthy and normal!) rest days? Who works out 7 days a week - is that even healthy? (I have a 70 something day streak but I walk a lot/live in a city, but for those who do gym workouts, I'd imagine rest days are important!). I ask because if I have an 18 hour day of planes, there goes my streak.

    2. Re: streaks - is the only workaround to lower my goals to the bare minimum for my travel day? If so, that sucks.

    Basically wondering if I'm blind or dumb or missing something that should be so obvious here …..

    Lastly, random but -

    1. How does the watch handle crossing the international date line? Does it auto reset? Delete your old day? Mesh the two together? Am I overthinking this?!

    2. When you're in workout mode, when you click DONE, is there a way to go back and keep on with your workout? Sometimes instead of clicking pause I click done and … I hate that.

    Can't share a location via Apple Watch

    My kid has a cellular Apple Watch and an Ipad, I am trying to setup location sharing with my family, the issue is that the Ipad location rather than Watch is shared as the kid location. In My Apple ID -> My location there is only "This device" available on the Ipad, the watch is not is the dropdown list. Both devices are connected to the same AppleId, location sharing is enabled on both.

    Wondering if there is anything I am missing.
