    So I just watched a programme on BBC iPlayer called The Spilt which is about divorce lawyers and their cases, and after I opened Netflix the first row of videos was "US TV Programmes about Marriage". I thought that's weird. Why would Netflix suggest that??

    On the other hand I'm half way through The Invisible Man from two nights ago. That has a marital issues theme. But that was 2 days ago and I wouldn't say the film is about marriage whereas the suggestion appeared right after watching The Split which is marriage related.

    Or it's a just huge coincidence? It's just a strange genre to suggest as the top/first row right before my Continue Watching row.

    hooked up the latest apple tv HD 4k and only 1080p options

    i'm using my 65" samsung curve, HDMI port 1 and the HDMI cable that came with my PS5. ( it is 100 percent confirmed that both the HDMI port 1 and the HDMI cable that i'm using both support 4k transmissions, i am 100 percent sure of that and i've triple checked everything and spent an hour trying to make it work. i've restarted the apple TV over and over, updated it, etc. yet i can only set the resolution to 1080p in the video settings. pretty stressed out and annoyed at this point don't know what else to try, i've experimented with other HDMI cords that also support 4k, i've tried all of my other HDMI ports also, nothing works

    Is there a way to use the power button on a universal remote to turn on/off Apple TV?

    I have set up a universal remote with the Apple TV (BOSE to be exact) It's working now, but doesn't work for power. This means the Apple TV Remote is required if the Apple TV goes to sleep. Is there a way around this? (Beside preventing the Apple TV from going to sleep)

    Apple TV screenshot

    While "casually" chilling on the couch I sat on the previous gen Apple TV remote and suddenly we heard a camera sound. When looking at the tv with a surprised face the Apple TV said that it took a screenshot. However, we cannot find anything we online on how to take a screenshot with the remote itself. We found something about using QuickTime on Mac, but both of our MacBooks were closed.

    In short, we are actually just wondering what the * just happened😂

    Apple Music ATMOS not playing ATMOS

    I've got my Apple TV connected via HDMI to my Rotel RAP1580, it's working correctly when watching movies but when I play spatial audio tracks in the Music app I'm only receiving stereo. I've been through Apple's setup guide to check everything is set correctly and am at a loss as to what the problem is, any help or comments that it does work for you would be appreciated.

    What in the world? This is the first time this has happened. I literally was using the Apple TV an hour ago. I turn it on and t first it was freaking out and blinking between green and whatever was on screen. Now I have this and I’ve looked up so many forums on what to do and nothing works

    Misleading Dolby Vision information before getting Paramount Plus

    So I just added Paramount Plus as a channel and the main motivation was to watch some of the movies it had in 4K Dolby Vision. Looking them up on the apple TV catalogue it said they had Dolby Vision. Within Apple TV I then started Paramount plus but then it displayed that the titles were a mere HD. At this point, I might as well just go borrow the Blu Rays from my local library for free, as that will also be 1080p SDR but will offer a higher bandwidth for a better picture overall.

    How come it misleadingly labels the content like this?

    WiFi Slow on AppleTV

    I get about 600mbps down on my computer directly from the router (over ethernet). My phone (same room as my AppleTV) gets around 400mbps over WiFi. If I run a speed test (Ookla app) on my AppleTV's WiFi , I get around 50mbps. I have two AppleTV's and they both run slow over WiFi. Doesn't make sense.

    No atmos on Netflix since last update.

    is there any way to use a vpn so i can watch home games on MLB app. I tried setting up a mac mini using a vpn turning on wifi and then connecting my apple tv to mac mini. This does not seem to work. I am able to view games on on mac mini through browser with vpn running.

    Googling and experimenting has failed. I cancelled cable recently where I watched impractical jokers on cable for background noise.

    Is there a way to make an apple shortcut to launch hbo then launch impractical jokers? Or just launch hbo and resume what I was watching last?

    Best sub $500 sound bar for Apple TV 4K?

    Looking for recs on what sound bars people are using to get the best experience with Dolby atmos Apple TV. I currently don't own any sound bars however am looking at Sonos beam 2 mainly because of its airplay compatibility.

    Why can’t I stream videos from Safari?

    I used to be able to stream NBA games from my phone to my Apple TV all the time. Now whenever I hit play the screen blacks out and then goes to the Apple TV Home Screen. Does anyone have any advice?
