    Travel to Australia and buying an iphone

    Hi

    I am travelling to Australia soon and planning to take advantage of the tax refund (plus the iphone itself is cheaper in Australia than where I am from in Southeast Asia) so I am going to buy an Iphone for my mom.

    Just curious though, how can I check if I will be able to avail their international warranty should anything bad (hope not) happen to the unit when I come back to my country?

    13 pro: shadow along “top” of screen when rotated for video?

    I have the 13 pro, fully updated (15.3.1) and everything else works fine; but when I turn it sideways to watch a video, there's a shaded area all across the top of the screen (extending about 1.5cm down.) Has anybody heard of this problem?

    Quick question on apple Policy

    Is it true that in the case that a faulty device has been sold to you which doesn't work then when you have given in your device and shown warranty and have been told that you will get a replacement you need to wait 2-3 weeks? I live outside the US (in the Middle East) and bought the new iPhone 13 pro max. 2 weeks later the screen turned black and stopped working. Gave my phone to place I was told to go with the warranty and they took it in to diagnose. They called back and said the device is faulty and therefore they will give me a replacement device but said I'll have to wait 2-3 weeks as that is apple policy. Is this true? They do have the iPhone model in stock but for some dodgy reason I am being told to wait 2-3 weeks which I don't understand why if I have been sold a faulty device shouldn't I recieve my replacement asap? Thank you.

    iPhone coming from Russia

    Hi everybody.

    Question: I won a iPhone 13 Pro through a big betting site based in Russia. Phone looks untouched, still covered by the wrapping film provided by Apple. Serial says warranty activated on 12 jan 2022. Will it work 100% in Italy? Also, does it come with pre-installed stuff?

    Face ID issues

    The battery in my old iPhone 7 finally bit the dust, so I upgraded to a 13 a few days ago. Overall, it's great! It's fast, the battery life seems good, and the camera is a big improvement.

    But I'm having some issues with Face ID, namely:

    • It doesn't work with a mask on.
    • It only works sporadically when I'm lying in bed/in the dark.
    • Even when it does work, you still have to additionally swipe to get into the phone. So it's more effort to access with Face ID than it was with Touch ID, even when Face ID is working as designed.
    • I can't unlock the phone while it's horizontal, nor can I unlock it as I'm picking it up (as I could with Touch ID). This is proving to be a hassle. For example, when I'm playing guitar and reading lyrics/chords from the phone, if it goes to sleep while I'm playing, Touch ID let me wake it up with one quick tap. Now with Face ID, it brings me to a halt so that I can pick up the phone, give it a moment to recognize me, swipe, and then I can get back to playing.

    I'm sure I'll get used to it, but so far for me, Face ID has been a notable step backwards from Touch ID. I miss the button. Do any experienced users here have any ideas about how I can get Face ID working better for me? Thanks!

    Some apps start from a certain state, how do I force them to reset?

    For example, I have viewed an email yesterday, since then, whenever I open the Mail app, it opens that specific mail and it's really frustrating having to exit that mail and scroll to top.

    I have checked the app's settings but there's nothing regarding this.

    How to get to front page on iPhone se

    Hi. On my latest android phone I had a button for going back and one for going to home screen. On my iPhone se I can only get the home button to go back. So if I'm in an app which is opened through the app library and I want to go to the home screen I have to tap the home button three times because it first goes back to the app library, then the secondary home screen and lastly my main home screen. Is there a solution for my issue?

    iPhone 11 PrMx restart loop

    Hey guys, so at work I had my phone in my booby holder and it got all the clev sweat :(

    Seriously though, it turned off and I thought it was off and restarting because it was really warm, but I think there may be some damage caused by the sweat. It's been about 13ish hours since it turned off and been stuck in a reset loop. Display and buttons work fine, no scratches or anything. I've tried hard reset but that didn't work and I can't plug it in to my Mac for iTunes because it doesn't stay on.

    It has stayed on 3 times for about 4 minutes each. The first time it turned on, then eventually turned itself back off. The second time it turned on, my alarm was going off for work and it was very sluggish but still working. In between this time, I got it to stop restarting and be off fully twice. The last time it turned on it wasn't sluggish at all and working fine, however I took the sim out and shut it off with the slide thing. I Olán on leaving it off and putting it in some rice(?) until it gets looked at.

    I may be able to go to a place today to see if it can be fixed, but I really want to know if anyone 1. knows what's wrong with it and 2. if it'd be worth it to pay to repair or just get a new phone.

    Specifically, I'm looking for an edited version of the US Holidays calendar that doesn't contain many of the ones that I'm not interested in. Also, one that I can set the end date so they only show through the end of the year, rather than unlimited scrolling

    iPhone 13 pro battery health

    Hello! I got my iPhone on November last year and I've been using since then the apple charge 20w, a few weeks ago I've change to the 5w charger. I've checked today my battery health and is on 98%, I think it has degraded quick, do you think it is because of using the 20w on a daily basis? I charge over night also.

    I had previously an iPhone 11 and the battery health started to degrade after a year using only the 5w charger.

    Any thoughts on this?

    How to remove google photos from normal photo gallery of iPhone

    Hi,

    I recently purchased iPhone 13 Pro Max and I logged with my google account. I see later that all my photos from the google account exist in the normal "Photos" gallery of the phone. I don't want to see them there. How can I separate it so in the "Photos" app are visible only the pictures I take with the phone? I checked google back up and sync photos and it was already turned off

    Podcast app dosent recognise that 4g is on?

    iPhone 13 running on iOS 15.3.1

    Podcast app that comes with the phone ask me to turn on mobile data but it is already on . Safari works and all the other apps that uses 4g but the podcast app calmes to somhow don't have internet access unless Wi-Fi is connected…

    Battery replacement lasts all day but dies at 54%

    I have an iPhone XR, i'm running ios 15.1.

    I recently got the battery and screen replaced at a local phone repair shop near me (i live like 3h30min drive from nearest apple place) and my battery lasts me from 7am til, like, 8 or 9pm using it all day. very happy, but i think it just displays the incorrect percentage. it gets really slow at about 54% and dies around 51%-53%. could this be because i plugged it in without thinking and forgot about the whole, "let it die then charge it to 100" thing? or is it an issue with my phone reading the battery? is there any way to fix it without going back to the repair place?

    I just unchecked everything in my iCloud backup, then deleted the entire backup, in an attempt to have a fresh iCloud from scratch.. and when I turned it back on, half the storage is being mysteriously used.. anyone know how I can zero this out?

    Help merging iPhones

    I have about 3 iPhones I am trying to merge data from into my current iPhone(or another phone, if need be). The data is stored on the phones, without the use of iCloud.

    I have looked into some recovery apps, but I am looking for something that can find deleted files, and save my apps if possible(I have some apps that are no longer supported, but it would be nice to have them). Any links or information to what can be done would help.

    I also have one iPhone which has been UV sanitized and taken apart after falling into a chlorinated pool. If it turns on will someone(even if it's a specialist of some sort) be able to recover the data from it?

    How to ativate new iPhone 13 with old phone number?

    I purchased a new iPhone 13 two days ago (3/2/22) from the Verizon store in VA, USA for personal use. I am attempting to set it up with my old phone number, but otherwise as new. My old phone is an iPhone XS. I don't want to do Smart Set-up, I only want my cell service and phone number to move over to the new iPhone. Otherwise, I'd like to start from scratch so I can rebuild my music library and clear my caches, etc.

    I started to set up the new phone and have it functioning, but no cell service. I went to Settings-Cellular-Add Cellular Plan, but my current number says "Transfer not supported." The new iPhone 13 came with a Verizon 5G SIM card, so I don't think I can just swap my old not-5G card into the new phone. I share an Apple ID with my mom and when I logged in it automatically put her info in for the name, but I've changed that to mine just fine.

    That's all the info I can think to give right now, but if you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    Calling won’t work on any app

    so basically calling of any kind won't work on any app. Calling, FaceTime, Snapchat call, Facebook call, nothing. It wouldn't even connect the call originally, dropping the call the second the call was answered, so I tried factory resetting my phone, and now calling-calls go through, but there's no audio on both ends. FaceTime/Snapchat still drop the calls instantly.

    Does anyone know how to fix this? I have an iPhone 7 Plus.
