| Wife's iPhone has been disabled Posted: 16 Mar 2022 06:14 AM PDT I'm sure this has been posted a million times here, but my wife got her iPhone -- a 12 Pro Max -- disabled (password attempt limit, I'm guessing) and I'm not sure it was backed up. I'm hoping there's some way of getting her data so we don't lose like 5 years of kids' pictures and whatnot. I'm not an iPhone guy so I rarely interact with them so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. She has an iPad tied to her account which she can access and has access to her icloud.com account. Also, it seems she has 2FA enabled as we had to enter the code when I signed into her icloud account on my Chromebook. On her iPad under the settings area, I can see that her iPad is being backed up but I don't see anything for her phone. A cursory Google seems to indicate that the backup feature is enabled by default on newer phones but I'm not seeing anything. iCloud shows there are 2ish gigs of backup data used which is enough for an iPad backup but almost certainly not enough for an iPhone with a ton of pics. She doesn't have a computer so there's no iTunes backup, and I really don't want to have to deal with a distraught wife, so hopefully someone has some ideas on what we can do. It seems silly that all it would take for me to ruin someone's day is to take their phone without them noticing and putting in the wrong password a dozen times. Thanks in advance. V 15.3.1 Purchased March 2020 U.S. through Credo Our office used the MS profile space to add pronouns to our staff accounts. Since we are rigging the system there isn't any help from Apple directly. I've also found that newer versions of the iPhone are not doing this. iPhone 13 for example. Any ideas about a setting we could play with to fix this ? [link] [comments] | ||
| iPhone SE 2020 Rear Camera Won’t Focus Posted: 16 Mar 2022 09:50 AM PDT I got a brand new (out of the box, not refurbished or used) iPhone SE 2020 back in October and I noticed recently that the rear camera won't focus on anything in the distance. Yesterday I scrolled through all of the cameras and the only one that was sharp and focused was the slow-mo camera. Now today, none of them are sharp. I've done anything I could think of besides full factory reset, tried shutting down, resetting, checking all settings, removing my phone case, and making sure the phone is totally updated and nothing has helped. Been having random issues with my phone freezing up and apps not working until I restart it. Sometimes it restarts itself overnight. Storage is nowhere near full. Took it into apple and they ran diagnostics on it, think it might be a software thing so they're gonna have me reset it, but I wanted to ask you guys if you've seen this before and have an idea of what it could be related to before I go through the process of resetting? On my work one, I have I have sound, permeant lock screen, badges, and banners since they are obviously very important, my personal one I have just badges because I don't really care. I get FAR too many work emails from ONE specific email address, and those guys really a big deal. It is at the point where it is extremely annoying getting all of these sound alerts. I want to turn off all notifications from this ONE specific email address except for badges, just like I have for my personal one. Is that possible? (2) Can I adjust how often my phone searches for emails? I did a test one on my Mac from my personal to my work, and the email comes in pretty much immediately on my Mac, but it takes awhile for it to come on my phone. Anyway I can make the phone search for new emails at a faster rate? I hate getting a call from someone saying, "hey I just sent you an email, did you get it?" "Ummmm, no, let me check my phone . . . . . oh ya it just came in." When I am on my Mac, the email always comes in before the phone call. Before Saturday, I only had a screen off of less than an hour but on Saturday onwards, it greatly exceeded this value. I already turned off my background app refresh and it still didn't work. We had that user sign in on their personal iPhone and then signed them into their mail app onto another phone to test if it was just her phone being the issue. I have an iPhone 13 and I have 3 different earbuds/headphones that I use and on any 3 of them whenever I get a phone call the audio to the headset doesn't work. When I answer the call, the audio type is set to the Bluetooth device I'm using but I can't hear anything. I have to use the phone normally and take my headphones/earbuds off. At first, I thought I made a mistake, the first instance I saw this was when I saw myself in phone call for 1 minute and 40 seconds with my friend in my contacts. Then, later today some dude called me and said "did you call me, the number ending in xxxx called?" So I don't think it's people in my contacts but anyone in general can be called by my phone number. This whole thing is a mystery, I don't have voice control on, and I use Bluetooth headphones but I don't think it has the ability to call people. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Is my phone hacked or something and is someone deliberately doing this on purpose, or is this a bug. I don't want to annoy people, or potentially want my friends to believe I am harassing them. I had no problems with migrating my stuff from one to the other. I then decided to move my wife to my 13 from her 12. Everything seemed ok. I reset the 13 and went through the whole process. Once done she noticed she was missing a bunch of contacts - mainly anything she had saved the past few months or so. I can't figure out where they are. NO ICLOUD BACKUP. I have tried anything I could think of within the settings/contacts. How can I get them back? My thoughts were to try to reinstall a backup from a couple days before, sync those contacts somewhere, then install the update I just made this afternoon and import the contacts? Thoughts ? I did not set any payment methods, because I don't want to buy anything (or at least not yet). I wanted to download some apps, went to App Store, clicked on a free app, wrote my password and then a little window appeared which said something like this: "You have not set your Apple ID in iTunes Store yet, please check the options..." - if I pres Check the options, it only wants me to write my payment information, but I don't want that, because I don't want to buy anything and it should work without it. If I press Cancel, it goes away, but it does not download the app and if I try again, it happens again. I even uninstalled that iTunes Store and I turned the phone off and on, did not help.
