- Is it just me or is autocorrect getting more and more stupid?
- These lines started showing up this morning. They sometimes get intenser. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

It took me 3 attempts to getvthis comment right. And it still isn't right. How hard is it for AI thatvevolved for such a long time to not recognise that I wanted to post "get this" and "that evolved"? How hard can this be? With every update this stuff is getting worse. Im using Apple since 1995. all our devices are Apple. Damn, even Im is not corrected to I'm. And "all" wasn't uppercased after a period. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 16 Mar 2022 08:22 AM PDT I updated to Mac OS 12.3 yesterday and it broke some software I use for audio recording and producing music Me being prepared (or so I thought), I quickly booted into recovery mode and attempted to restore from a 12.2.1 Time Machine backup, which worked just fine At which point I was given this error message "You must use migration assistant to transfer data from this backup" "Reinstall Mac OS if necessary and then use Migration Assistant" When exactly did this happen, you have to reinstall MacOS every time you want to restore from a damned backup, and can someone recommend a backup software where I can quickly undo software updates that might break things? | Posted: 16 Mar 2022 02:32 PM PDT Hello all, I have a 13 pro max and have been having a charging port issue where the charger disconnects and connects again repeated within seconds. Spoke to a senior apple support member on Friday who said they'll make an exception and do an express replacement of my iPhone. They currently put a hold on my credit card until the process is complete. My question is, I spoke to the apple support member on Friday of last week, and my replacement iPhone still hasn't been shipped. The repair status is currently on "Ordered". Is this normal? The advisor had initially told me that my phone should be shipped out Saturday but it still hasn't. Reaching 6 days tomorrow so wasn't sure if this timeline is usual. Thanks for your help! | iPhone Brightness Won't Go To Max Posted: 16 Mar 2022 02:22 PM PDT Hey there! So I've had this problem for a while and Apple Support says they think I have to take it in to get fixed, but I was hoping someone else here might have another idea. Basically the brightness of my phone is low, and I have auto brightness and reduce white points off. When I screenshot, the screen momentarily gets to peak brightness so that's how I know it's not all the way turned up. If anyone has any ideas, I'd really appreciate it! [link] [comments] |

| iphone 12 pro max restarting itself once a month Posted: 16 Mar 2022 01:06 PM PDT 12 pro max still on ios 14.7.1 (i've been neglecting to back it up and update it) like once a month or so it randomly turns itself off when it's not being used and i have to restart it. if it matters, this always happens with airpods connected (which doesn't say much since i almost always have them connected) i checked the analytics section in settings since an older comment on here said i should look for panic logs and there's nothing like that. it doesn't happen often but i'm worried about the cause since i had to get rid of my last phone (google pixel) for restarting all the time. does anyone know why? It probably gets picked up around 2% of the time. I have replaced the tip and still no improvement. | How to DELETE all downloaded podcasts from macbook air?!?!? Posted: 16 Mar 2022 12:58 PM PDT I followed a few podcasts a couple of years ago on my iphone and all of them- and I mean ALL of their new episodes have been downloaded automatically for YEARS onto my phone and computer without me realizing it. It's taking up almost 38GB of space I have managed to deleted them from my iPhone but the crap is still on my computer. I have tried everything and googled to no avail! Please help it's taking up so much space on my macbook air(2015, macOS Big Sur version 11.0-beta). Every time I try to delete one.single.podcast the whole app just freezes. | AppleCare+ turnaround? Only going to be in the US for 3.5 weeks and have a few questions. Posted: 16 Mar 2022 12:36 PM PDT Hi all. Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this kind of question. New to this sub. Long story short, I live in Spain (permanently). But, being from Florida, all my Apple products are bought at the Apple Store there (Jacksonville to be specific). Mainly do this for the obvious reason…prices being light years better in America vs Europe. But I also still have a ton of my billing with US banks. So, my iPhone 13 mini and my iPad mini 6 both have AC+, but the plan has to be used in America. Visiting Florida next month and will be there for a hair under a month. My iPhone mini dropped, case flew off, and I have two dents on the chassis. Minimal, but still driving me nuts. Ditto iPad. Dropped in that "case"/folio BS and the chassis dented in two spots. My question is two fold really. Never used AC+.
Oh and I guess last question … do a few minimal chassis dents even qualify for AC+? Should me being OCD about looks - even though functionality is 100% ok - cause an issue? Or is AC+ sort of a no questions asked type deal? Sorry - long post and a bit rambling. Just trying to figure out this service - both logistically and what's even considered "covered damage"… Thanks! I plugged it in to restore and it downloaded the uppate, when it start extracting the software it crashes. i took it to geek squad who said its prolly bricked cause it needs memory to restore the update and if its no memory then it cant be by passed. | Old mac cannot copy files to external volume Posted: 16 Mar 2022 11:44 AM PDT I have an old G4 MacBook running 10.5.8. I'm getting ready to recycle it and found some old files I want to keep. It sees my networked volumes (10.14.5 and 12.1, 100s of GB free) and it sees a newly formatted (FAT) 32GB USB stick. However, it cannot copy files to any of them, stating there is not enough free space. This occurs even for a single file. Any idea on what's going on? Ultimately, I can pull the drive and sled it, but I don't want to go thru that hassle if I don't need to. EDIT: I've also tried 2 different drives attached via USB, both 1TB+, same issue, tried both usb ports. [link] [comments] |
