Posted: 12 Mar 2022 06:43 PM PST I was recently bedridden for a day with a stomach bug, and opted to just not wear my AW at all so I wasn't being bugged to work out during a day I knew I couldn't. I was sad to have to break my move streak, but it seemed like the healthy choice. I was surprised the next day when I put on my watch and it encouraged me to keep my streak going, as if I had completed my goal the day before. So far it seems true that my streak is unbroken. Does the AW not count goals on days when it isn't put on at all? Or was this just a weird bug? [link] [comments]
Is Series 7 worth an additional $113 over the Series 6? Posted: 12 Mar 2022 03:59 PM PST Hello, (113 cad = 88 usd) I'm looking to get my first apple watch. I found a deal on a brand new Series 6 for 429 (Canadian). I can also get the Series 7 for 529 (Canadian). (Both GPS model) Budget isn't really an issue but I would prefer not to spend more than I need. Like I can spend the extra money but I can also find another use for it if I end up saving it. So my question comes down to whether or not the Series 7 is worth the extra 88 USD over the Series 6. To those who currently have the 7 but had the 6, what features do you especially like about it? Is the extra screen/charging speed really that noticeable? Besides those 2 features are there any other ones that separate the 2? Thank you for any advice. Please feel free to vote in the poll. Series 7 started coming out of the charger warmer than usual and now battery only holds half a day Posted: 12 Mar 2022 06:46 PM PST Series 7 with 2.5 months, no new apps, no changed settings or usage patterns. Battery used to last until the end of the day but suddenly now I have to charge twice a day and it gets warmer than usual when charging. Any way to troubleshoot to avoid having to send it to Apple? Does charging your watch without a USB C adapter have any effect on the battery? Posted: 13 Mar 2022 01:41 AM PST Yesterday, I purchased the S7 41mm, my first Apple Watch, and completely forgot to purchase a USB C power adapter in order to charge it, so I charged it using my Dell docking station, which has a USB C port, but I've noticed that after it finished charging, I used the watch to put on a new face, and the battery had already dropped by 2%. Is that normal? Is it okay to charge your watch without a USB C adapter? I'm not very knowledgeable about these things, but does it really have an effect on your battery? [link] [comments]
Messages complication and app doesn’t update with phone. Posted: 12 Mar 2022 04:37 PM PST If I get a text message and I read it in my phone the messages app and it's complication in my watch still show a new unread message. It's really annoying to have to check EVERY message twice. Has anyone experienced this as well and if so has anyone found a fix? This hasn't always been the case, just the last few months I think. Apple Watch SE (LTE) battery drain while running Posted: 12 Mar 2022 11:13 PM PST I got the SE when it came out and have been really really happy with it as my fitness and sleep tracker... ...until in the last few weeks I started extending my runs from 10kms to 15kms which meant being out for over an hour instead of my previous 45mins. Yesterday for example I took the watch off charge (100%) and hit the road. I use my AirPods Pro to listen to a podcast (over LTE on the watch) and the Nike Run Club app to track my run. The watch died at 47mins, restarted, and then gave me the low battery warning meaning I had to stop using my AirPods just to save enough juice to get me to the end of my run. Luckily the Nike app jumps back into my active run... but I lose 2mins from my pace (while thew watch restarts) which is annoying as I am working to improve my pace. Is this normal? I'm not really sure what to think. Obviously streaming audio to AirPods uses a lot of battery. And I'm sure streaming that audio to my watch over LTE uses even more battery than if I had preloaded a podcast or book right? But 100% down to 10% in 47mins sounds fishy. If this is expected behaviour after having the watch SE since release, would I be better off getting the battery replaced or is the Watch Series 7 significantly better in this regard? Or should I just be optimising by preloading content instead of using the watch's LTE? Any advice would be appreciated. [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Mar 2022 10:53 PM PST I bought a size 12 solo loop from apple but it's a little tight, does anyone know of a good dupe that comes in bigger sizes? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Mar 2022 07:05 PM PST What are your favorite third party straps? I've got a bunch of the Amazon sport loops that are okay, and a leather strap from Somewhere. Had a UAG strap that sucked. Faded in one summer. What do YOU like most? [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Mar 2022 10:24 PM PST I recently saw some users mentioning autosleep and I was wondering how good it is compared to pillow and SleepWatch. I'm currently using the free versions of both and I definitely like the metrics of SleepWatch when I used the free trial. But looking at the reviews for autosleep, some people saw the metrics are too confusing to understand. Is that true or are those users just misunderstanding the data? And is autosleep worth the $7 CAD price tag, as I'm not sure how useful the data can be. [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Mar 2022 06:00 PM PST When I got my S6 I got the grey solo loop and it's been great. It's starting to show a bit of wear so I recently went to the apple store to order a replacement. I was surprised to not see any grey, black, or other dark color besides blue listed. Did they get discontinued? I tried a cheap amazon one to get me by but you can definitely tell the quality difference. I switched to my milanese band for the time being. [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Mar 2022 03:44 PM PST I wanna buy the cellular version for my grandpa but I'm not sure if it would call 911 in case of emergency without a cellular plan in country where no carriers support the Apple Watch eSIM [link] [comments]
