    iPhone stolen and icloud password and backup phone number were changed

    Hi all,

    My iPhone was stolen yesterday. By the time I was able to get a chance to login to my icloud and lock the phone, they changed my icloud pwd and backup phone number (they secretly saw my 4 digit phone passcode). I contacted apple support and visited their store and the options they gave me are to 1)find that thief back up number- which I can't obviously, it has last 2 digits and first 8 needs to be guessed 2) any trusted device with my icloud logged in- which I don't have any such device.

    This is so frustrating that apple can't do much in such cases. How come they can't see I have my phone number for 2 years or so and then suddenly someone changed it few hours ago and they aren't able to recover my account. They already used by debit/credit from apple pay which I contacted my bank and kept a froze/hold on. But I have lots of personal photos and videos. Is there any way I can get them back? Or at least can I erase it from that device.

    Automating Underscan

    Every time I plug my external monitor into my macbook air it doesn't fit properly so I have to increase the underscan, is there anyway I can automate this as to not go into the settings every time I plug an external monitor in?

    iPhone apps keep crashing/restarting

    I don't know if it was from the most recent update, but all my apps keep crashing or restarting. Sometimes it's while I'm using them, but most of the time I'll be using something like the Music app, pause the music and switch to a different app for 30 sec, go back to the music app and all my queued songs are gone and it looks like the app restarted. Happens with most of my apps (music, YouTube, browsers, etc). Any thoughts or has this been happening to anyone else?

    old mac starts with set up for the blind - how to change?

    I got a 7 years old mac for free for my mother. Everything is well but the set-up is for I think blind, cause it gives you in a voice the selection to use the voice command.

    I have a normal set up but the mouse doesn't work. I can select country, language, then it gives me again selection for which handicap the person has (auditive, visual etc.) I come to the point to give in the apple id which I can use mine but at this point, I get stuck cause some keys are just different and cause I can't see in the password what I type it just is a guessing game and I am fed up with it after an hour.
    So does someone know how I just get into a normal mac setup.

    So I know this sounds really weird but, this morning I woke up with my left airpod in my mouth and now it is producing this weird high sound. It still detects my ear and noice cancelling works only the sound doesn't work. Does anybody know a solution to this?

    Disk Utility - How do I create a New Volume Group?

    Trying to re-format and re-install Catalina. Normally, using Disk Utility (from another volume) I unmount the 1 main ____ Volume and 2 ____ - Data Volumes. I then select the main volume and ERASE / ERASE VOLUME GROUP but now suddenly, there's no ERASE VOLUME GROUP button. Because of this, Catalina does not properly install. I'm using Carbon Copy Cloner to restore from an image and instead of a full 15G it only copies 5G of data. Any idea what I'm missing? Thanks.

    i can't find anything about this anywhere but its so inconvenient i'm literally about to leave the watch at home. 12 pro max and series 6 watch, i'll have music playing through spotify, and get a notification for something like my ring doorbell or a text message or literally anything that makes the screen pop on, my airpod's immediately handoff to the watch, in turn stopping the music and they stay connected to the watch until specified otherwise so i have to pull my phone out, hit that output tab in the top right of the music mini player. tap the airpods to disconnect from the watch, tap it again to connect to the phone, go out of that menu and start the music again manually. i don't care what i have to do at this point i just need it to work

    Hi all, I'm hoping this is the right sub, but if not please let me know a better one to post in.

    I'm having issued upgrading my OS from Yosemite to El Capitan. I have a 15" mid-2009 macbook pro. I'm downloading from the apple website since 10.11 no longer shows up in the app store.

    If I download with chrome I can get as far the the installer (app) before I get an error saying: this copy of the install os x el capitan application can't be verified. it may have been corrupted or tampered with during downloading.

    I've tried uninstalling and re-installing several times without any luck.

    If I download with Safari I notice it shows up in the download folder under the year 2009 and fails without even being able to convert the .pkg file. I get an error saying invalid checksum.

    Anyways, I'm kind of at the end of ideas, would appreciate any/all help. Thank you in advance!

    Locked notes password doesn’t work

    I accidentally deleted my Face ID and now I can't go in my locked notes. I tried the password that it asks but it doesn't work. Does anyone know if I can get the notes back?

    Are there any options for Indians to use tap to pay function on iOS. There's no Apple pay support. Gpay doesn't allow NFC Neither does paytm. Is there any other option. Thank you

    Will the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 connect to an iPhone 13?

    I'm considering switching to apple but I have a pair of galaxy buds2 so I'm not sure if they will connect. I have heard that they will connect but have limited functionality which I'm fine with, they just have to work until I can get a replacement. Does anyone have an answer please?

    This thing keeps happening where the apps that I have not downloaded will redownload themselves. Every time I delete one of the downloads they just appear again. Does anyone know what to do?
