I have a MacBook Air 2020 and a Mac mini and both have issues connecting via Bluetooth. For example, I have to remove the headphones (Beats Studio 3) from the Bluetooth list entirely. Then I have to reset it only for it to connect. And every time the device goes into sleep mode, I have to repeat the same process. Did anyone of you find a solution? So if i'm on my macbook, playing a youtube video, music or whatever then something interrups me, I close the lid... do stuff work on my other computer and when I might come back 6 hours later and open my macbook I really hate if it resumes playing loud. I set it up as a brand new Mac so it was a clean OS. I successfully migrated all my data using Airdrop, including all the contents of my user/Music/iTunes folder. I also replaced the music library file with the one from my old machine, and made sure to load that library file by opening Music while holding option and selecting the correct library. I also made sure the file storage folder was correct in Music preferences. Even so, all the tracks in my library are greyed out and I cannot play them. Any ideas? [link] [comments] | ||

Previously used an actual computer with Windows and EAC set up nicely, however, now I have merely a MBP that doesn't at least in appearance have anywhere a I could not insert a CD, at least not without considerable force. I'd love to accurately rip these friends CDs, who would like a high quality, logged, verified copy of their music, yet I am not sure of the best external drive to buy, or the software to use. After I finished the transfer, I tried to find it but couldn't. Then I used search, but I just got aliases, which I tried to delete. But no. | Macos 12.2 Window Server leaking Posted: 04 Feb 2022 02:51 AM PST I have a MacBook Pro 16 2021 with M1 Pro. I have a memory leak on macos 12.2. I think i can replicate the point where it leaks. My Mac is started and and i have a internet connection via wifi. Then i disable the wifi for a time X (i cannot say the exact time) and enable it again and it connect with the internet (on his own). By the point wehere the MacBook have a new internet connection. The windows server increased they memory and give it never back (from himself). This is not a one time thing. This happened every time, when i disable the wifi minimum for time x and enable it again and it have a internet connection again to the internet. Maybe this info helps somebody! It's my favorite feature and I use it all the time. I just got a new MacBook and it's not doing that and I can't figure out what setting I must have to mess with to get it back. | Tiger won't usb boot on my mbp 2010 Posted: 04 Feb 2022 01:31 AM PST Hi, Here is my puzzle : I have a 2010 macbook pro and I want to install Tiger 10.4 on it. I decided to overwrite the hard drive so now it's empty and only boots in recovery mode. I created a usb-boot that it recognizes as a "boot disk" but it does not launch the installation when I tell it to launch from it it launches in recovery mode. I checked the diskutil list and everything looks good. I also opened wrinting permissions on the usb. And I also tried to install the version available online I think it's Yosemite but it won't (error). I tried to make an usb with iso and dmg nothing change. And the usb i made i tried apple partition and GUID but nothing works. So now i've a recovery mode computer and a puzzle to solve. Any suggestion? | Macos mojave not mounting periferals on wakeup Posted: 04 Feb 2022 12:49 AM PST I use a MBP 2014, running latest Macos Mojave patch, with an upgraded after market SSD (crucial p2). Ever since I did my SSD upgrade I've been having problems with periferals being recognised/mounted. It seems to be pretty inconsistent, but from what I've been able to narrow down, if I plug a USB device, or memory card into the computer while it's asleep, or just starting up from a shutdown, it won't recognise that I plugged anything in. If I then replug it it will be recognised, after a while, but not immediately (there's a delay). I'm not sure if this is caused by my SSD upgrade, or if something's happened with my Time Machine transfer to the new SSD, but if anyone has any ideas for a solution that would be greatly appreciated. I read that Monterey has some noticable memory leaking and Bluetooth problems that I'm kind of worried about getting, but I'm not sure how common they are. | Faster copy speed to NAS vs. networked PC Posted: 03 Feb 2022 05:41 PM PST I've noticed that my fully functioning PC full of M2 SSDs, connected with gigabit ethernet to a gigabit switch, along with a 4 bay HDD NAS connected with gigabit to the same switch, my Macbook Air M1 2020 (using AX wifi) is always considerably faster (50-100% faster) copying to the NAS than the PC, even though the NAS is full of raid5 HDDs while the PC has much faster M.2 drives. The NAS can be copied to at full gigabit speed (1 gig gets copied every 10 seconds at ideal speed, when my laptop is right next to the wireless router) while my PC takes 15-16 seconds per gig. On the meshpoint, it's 20-30 seconds per gig to the NAS and 50-60 seconds per gig to the PC SSD. The PC has no performance issues with respect to the SSDs (they copy at 3500mb/s). The PC has fast access to the internet and NAS (full gigabit speeds), the max theoretical speeds - nothing wrong with its inherent ethernet performance. Router is Amplifi Alien. I updated my MacBook Pro Retina 2014 two days ago to Big Sur 11.61. It made me delete so much stuff to do so, and now I have 56.95 GB available. The day after I updated it it said I need another update, now to Big Sur 11.63. After the first update my Mac had so many new issues - slow, lagging, and the fan being super loud. It was perfectly fine before this (just got a new battery this year). Should I do this new update? Is there something I should do differently this time? Thanks in advance [link] [comments] | ||
