I stopped pairing AirPod Pro to MacBook Pro…so frustrating :-(

    Posted: 03 Feb 2022 09:04 PM PST

It takes several attempts to pair AirPod Pro to MacBook Pro and then to pair it back to my iPhone is a pain again. Since all these products and software are made by Apple, it should be ideally seamless connecting these devices to each other; but that's not the reality! I am done holding the button on the AirPod cover forever for the crap to pair! I have a Sony headphone and it is so much easier to pair it to my MacBook as well as to TV. If you pair AirPod Pro to your TV, there is no way to manage the volume as AirPod volume control is either through your iPhone or your MacBook.

Made the Switch to a MacBook

    Posted: 03 Feb 2022 10:48 PM PST

I'm 30 years old and I've never had a MacBook before. I've always wanted to try but was nervous about getting frustrated with learning a new OS after growing up on Windows. Last weekend, I was in Gary Indiana and I when I saw that BestBuy had MacBook Pros in stock I had to go look at one. After talking to the employee for a while I found out they had an M1 Pro MacBook Pro 16" with the 512GB hard drive in stock I could get that day. I finally made the choice and after a little less than a week, my only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. I probably bought a more powerful laptop than I needed but I always do that when it comes to electronic.

Some of my favorite things about my new laptop:

    • The Touch ID to unlock and log in is nice and easy. Better than the PIN number I used on my Windows laptop.
    • I bought the magic mouse to go with it cause I thought it looked cool, but gestures on the mouse feel fluid and as if I'd been using them my whole life.
    • Being able to Call, Text, and FaceTime from the MacBook really helps with work. (I'm a trucker so being able to do a lot from one device saves me a headache when coordinating with Brokers on loads.
    • The Camera is 10/10 way better than any laptop camera I've ever had before (I FaceTime my sister a lot)
    • I had yet to even hear the fans ramp up on this thing no matter what I've done, even while sitting it on my lap in my bunk like I am right now. My windows laptops could never sit on my lap like this without cooking my thigh to a solid medium rare.
    • I thought the notch would bother me, but tbh I rarely ever notice it

The only issues I can say that I've had so far are learning different keyboard shortcuts, but I will learn those in time.

I haven't even touched my Windows Laptop that I was using before I got this MacBook. I am highly excited to see what more I am able to do and what I can learn from making the switch. I don't see myself going back anytime soon.
