When my phone charges over night, I would have a notification in the morning, allowing me to go straight to the battery section of settings and turn it back on right away. It appears on the lock screen, but doesn't actually show up as an alert, how it would normally light up the phone to show me but it just stays dark. I tried an experiment where I sent a message to someone to make sure I wasn't crazy, stared at my phone screen while it was locked, nothing. I press the home button, their response message is sitting there on the lock screen with the timestamp of "1 minute ago". The phone shows me notifications and alerts from every other app on my phone like Instagram, but I can't figure out what my problem is here and why it's only doing it to the built-in messages app. I went to the settings app and the notifications for the Lock Screen are enabled [link] [comments] | ||

My FB messenger was working properly until 2/23 around 9AM. I can hear my own audio messages and those from iPhone users but I can't hear the ones from Android users on my phone. Everything works fine on my desktop computer though. I did not consciously press anything on my phone so not sure what setting is off. My Messenger has access to my phone mic & camera. Privacy --> Camera & Mic --> Access enabled for Messenger I've tried a few things from what I've found online and none of them have worked: • Restart iPhone • Delete and reinstall Messenger • Reset iPhone settings My husband updated his phone at the same time and he's not having issues with his messenger audio files. That seemed to stabilize it for long enough to allow me to factory reset it. After the factory reset, I used one of my backups to start using my phone again. Everything was working fine again. Yay! Or so I thought. Over the weekend, my phone updated iOS (not sure if this happened any other time between the fist time I had issues and now) The day after, my phone starts dying every 2.5 minutes again. I take it to the store; they erase my iPhone and the problem persists. They proceed to tell me this is a hardware issue. | Posted: 23 Feb 2022 06:41 PM PST im using the iPhone 13 pro, I tried playing some local content via VLC player and i noticed it has some kind of micro stutters, I'm guessing the screen didn't maintain the video's refresh rate and goes down. However, playing that same video via the Documents app by Readle, was perfect. Just wanted to know if anyone is experiencing the same issues and if there are alternative video players for me to try. It happens with short messages and long ones alike. I'd guess it's about 1/30 messages won't go through. As far as I know, the Android user receives all my messages with no issues. I had a lot of work to do and a test coming up so I decided to solve it on the weekend. Whatsapp wasn't working because of the lack of storage so I decided to delete Twitter (whatsapp was more urgent). It wouldn't delete it so I insisted a couple times and then my screen went black with a little loading wheel in the middle. Phone restarted and when I unlocked it, the wheel appeared again. This has happened repeatedly. iTunes says it can't sync with my phone because there's no storage left. Pls help. | How do I free up space on my iPhone when I am no longer storing photos on my iPhone Posted: 23 Feb 2022 05:08 PM PST I have tried to free up space on my iPhone by no longer storing photos on the phone; and yet when there are no photos on the iPhone, iOS still allocated 17.43 GB to it. How do I free up this space so it only takes up no more than 1GB? In addition, I have disabled the facility to back up to iCloud, as I found it started to download the images from iCloud on it--which is exactly what I do not want! I want to keep the memory allocated to photos to be as small as possible [~1 GB], and manually copy the image files from my iPhone to my Mac, and then delete the images from my iPhone. Yet for some reason when I have deleted all images from the iPhone, including removing all images in my Recently Deleted folder, it is still reporting that 17.43 GB of space is used by Photos? Also Documents and Data take up 18.1 GB on my iphone [according to the view from Apple Finder, when I connect it to my Mac]... Also it is indicating that iMessage is taking up 16.27GB of space. Is there a way I can back up the messages contained onto my Mac, so I can view them on my Mac, and so get rid of old messages on my iPhone, and reduce this space taken up to about 5GB? I am aware that I can go into the settings and remove large conversations, but I do not want to remove a large conversation, but after backup up my iMessages. onto my MacBook, I want to remove the older messages in the larger conversation, but also be able to access and view them offline on my Mac... how do I do this? Messages is not checked when I go to the iCloud menu despite my 7 gigs of messages showing on the backup that's being downloaded. When I toggle Messages on in iCloud it tells me « not available as iMessage not same as iCloud ». I'm fine letting restore run its course but since it backs up the new phone once restored will that destroy the version of back up with all my messages on it? So my phone was backing up normally to iCloud but then I ran out of space on my phone due to having too many pictures. Before i could delete some photos my phone updated automatically but since there was no more storage, it essentially got stuck in an infinite loop of turning off and back on in the middle of updating. I took it to the apple store and they did a factory reset but when they were trying to restore from backup, none of my backups showed up and I still do not see any backups. So, due to this i have lost thousands of pictures and data. Is there any way to restore my phone to back to before the update and error occurred? My wife's iPhone is stuck on the full-storage-boot-loop scenario, that seems to be very common lately (great job apple). From using 3utools I've figured out that the update process is missing 270mb in order to complete to iOS update. I tried all the tools and methods to recover without restoring with no success, yes also the paid ones, with no success. And I've come to think that maybe if I had some kind of slim IPSW I can use to make the desired update, I'll be able to solve the issue and save this valuable data from the iPhone.
