    HI there, I just got a newer iMac 2009. I wasn't sure what was going on at first but it looks like it's in demo mode and I don't have the password for the admin user so I'm not able to sign in. My first thought was to do a system reinstall. I have put a newer mac OS on a bootable USB drive, but when I boot holding down alt, the only thing it sees is the internal hard drive, not the bootable USB I have plugged in. I was wondering if it won't show the USB drive because it's in demo mode? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

    I just bought my child an iPhone 11 and I have an Android phone. I do you have an iPad and have set up family sharing on there and created an account for my child.

    I have turned on ask to buy and have been receiving the notifications on my iPad. I do not always carry the iPad with me and was wondering if there is a way to receive a text message to my phone instead of the notification to my iPad. Or if I could even set up some kind of email notification instead.

    Hi, pretty much the topic question. Got a macbook pro and have a magic kb connected to it. I can press the fn key on the left on either mac/magicKB, and the language menu will pop up and allow me to switch between the 4 languages I have. Its fast and convenient.

    Once I connect the laptop to an external monitor via hdmi, the FN key no longer is working though =/

    Why does my phone delete apps that I haven't used in a while?

    If it matters somehow, i've got an iPhone Xr, but this has happened on all my previous iPhones. Apps that i haven't used in a bit of time (sometimes as little as two weeks) they will just offload without asking me. i've got more than 50% free of my 64 gigs of storage, and i haven't been able to find anything in settings for it. This is now the main reason i'm switching to an android.

    Any help is appreciated

    edit: i believe offloading is the term i was looking for, before anyone points it out

    AirTag Bluetooth

    Can I use an AirTag without having Bluetooth enabled all the time and just enable it when I lost it? Second question: when someone loses his AirTag and I walk near by with my Bluetooth disabled, does the owner get a notification where his AirTag is at as well??

    iPhone not backing up all photos to iCloud?

    I'm trying to backup my iphones photos. It'll back up the start and end of my camera roll, but its missing a huge chunk in the middle. Tried googling this and didnt have much luck. Anyone know why its not backing up all my photos?

    Battery working weird - Macbook Air M1

    Hello, Im a new Macbook Air M1 owner and computer working time on battery made me a little bit of concern. The computer was used before and the battery health is 91%. Right now I have 81% and the exprectation time of working is around 5:30h. Is it too low? During writing this post battery level drop from 85 to 80%. I red it could be becouse of indexing? Is it true?

    Phantom/ghost notifications

    Anybody else getting these phantom notifications? I updated my 12 pro max and it still is getting notifications when nothing shows up on my screen while using it and it's getting annoying. My friends are also facing the same issue and we use a custom focus, but I hate seeing an icon in the top left corner when it's on.

    I also tried doing the iCloud mail and the email fix but I don't have an iCloud email to begin with, and all of my emails have been read.

    I just noticed that there was a tab open in my google chrome with the address bar

    It said the file could not be found but I don't remember opening anything in chrome that would be a file on the phone.

    What is this and this this safe?

    iPad pro 11" 2021 - Battery, Wifi, Screen lock and protector question.

    Bought it yesterday.

    1. I charged it to 93% and then updated to ios15 and now its showing 100%. Will this be a problem, what should i do? (Went from 100 to 92 within 5 minutes, i was just downloading apps from the Appstore.)

    2. Is there a way to add a option to lock/close screen from the control centre or any other way. I just don't want to use the button all the time.

    3. Any way to set it up so it closes wifi or disconnects from the wifi after a certain period of time when not used. To save battery.

    4. Any particular type of screen protector i should apply because I will be using it for drawing.

    Long story short I’m trying to format my SD card for my 3-D printer. When I go to disk utility my SD card shows up under internal. All of the tutorials I’ve seen have it showing up under external. Any idea why this would happen?

    I just got an iPhone 13 and was coming form an S8, but I used an iPad and a Mac for years. I noticed the iPhone screen is calibrated differently, so much that I had to dial my photo edits back to not make it look ridiculous on the iPhone. But, the thing is, all my other devices (iPad, 2013 MBP, old iPhone 6, my S8) look closer to the iPad and the iPhone is the odd one out.

    Before I got my iPhone, I consider my 2013 MacBook Pro as my point of reference for screen colors as that's the device I edit all my photos from. Now I'm just confused. The iPhone 13 supposed to be the best screen I got, but its colors is just too different and jarring compared to the rest.

    I wonder if there's a possibility of a defect. Of course True Tone, Night Shift is off and I tried to match the brightness. Thank you for any suggestions.
