Can’t hear on phone calls Posted: 07 Feb 2022 02:51 AM PST I have an iPhone SE, iOS 15.3, and whenever I'm on call with anyone I can barely hear them. I always have the volume as high as it can go and I can hardly hear them. However, if I'm listening to music, watching a video, etc, the volume is fine, and I can hear it bellow 50% volume all the time This happens wether my phone is on speaker, not on speaker, and when using Bluetooth wireless headphones (not AirPods, they're Sony headphones). The person who I'm on the phone to says that they have the volume low when they're talking to me, meanwhile I have to have it very high. It is probably not the hardware of my phone, as my old phone (iPhone 7) did the same thing (I only upgraded a month ago). The speakers are also clean, and I've tried restarting etc. Does anyone know why this is or how to fix it? I installed xcode (what a PITA) to get spotlight to even SEE html files, but I couldn't find a way to have spotlight search "contents" for code in those html files. Can spotlight do this? Can't Get Keyboard Led Lights to Work Posted: 06 Feb 2022 09:26 PM PST This is my first reddit post so I apologize for any mistakes! I just bought a Trusted Retro Office Keyboard KQ1 from London Drugs and plugged it into my MacBook Pro (running on macOS Monterey) but for some reason I'm unable to make the LED lights in the keyboard turn on. They keyboard works just fine for typing. The instructions say to press the SL key on the keyboard, but all that does for me is change the brightness on the computer. I looked online and saw a couple people with the same problem but I couldn't find if there was any solution. How to not lose iCloud music library? Battery issue MACBOOK pro 16” 2020 Posted: 06 Feb 2022 10:21 PM PST I've noticed lately my battery will steadily decrease even when my laptop is shut. This never happened before, I'd have my laptop stored for a week with no use and I'd still have around 10%. Now, seemingly overnight or a whole day, the whole battery runs out. Dropped dumbbell on iPhone; screen works fine but stuck in recovery mode; attempting to retrieve data as phone is not backed up Posted: 06 Feb 2022 10:20 PM PST The other day while working out, I was not paying attention, and accidentally dropped a dumbbell right next to my phone, which ended up bouncing onto the phone, cracking the back screen and slightly bending the frame. The phone rebooted itself, however seemed to be working completely fine, besides the fact that power button was lodged in place. However, later in the night, my phone died. As I went to charge it, it began booting up, but put itself into recovery/dfu mode. Here lies my issue: I have never backed up this phone (I know, I know), but have thousands of pictures and lots of important stuff on this phone. My question is what could be causing the phone to force itself into recovery mode, and is there anything I could do to repair it. I have already received a replacement phone, and am only trying to revive the phone long enough to possibly perform a backup or retrieve data from the device. My first guess was potentially a short within the motherboard or the camera component (as this seems to be the part of the phone to take most of the impact), or a loose battery or charging port connection.
