| Macbook Pro M1 battery getting worse and draining fast? Posted: 03 Feb 2022 12:15 AM PST Battery seemed brilliant for first few weeks even running animating programs, but recently it seems to be draining really fast! I've only had it since end November. Took screenshot at 22:06. I'm running a few programs like Google Chrome, Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Word, but I'd still expect more than 4 hours of heavy use time for a brand new 16" Mac. I'm not using an external monitor, but I am bluetoothed into a speaker. Could that be it? [link] [comments] |
| My ringer volume is stuck with my regular volume + power button won’t turn off Posted: 02 Feb 2022 11:32 PM PST After taking a nap with my airpods in, which I've done plenty of times before, two problems have started with my phone. The biggest one is not being able to turn my volume down all the way. It's basically linked itself with my ringer volume and won't go down all the way. I've tried pulling it all the way down but still a little bit of sound will play. With my power button, the only thing it can't do is power all the way off. It can still make my screen go black but no matter how long i hold off, it stays on. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? I've tried looking it up but I can't find others who have faced this situat before. [link] [comments] |

Don't put parts on the ground when replacing SSD I am waiting for a replacement via eBay. But does anybody know an usb plug I can use in the meantime. | Power Adapter - Question for Travel Posted: 02 Feb 2022 10:34 PM PST If I purchase a MacBook Air M1 and a Mac Mini M1 from the Apple store in Singapore, it will use a different power adapter than North America, and I will be moving there later this year. What would you recommend using for the US power adapter for M1's purchased in Singapore? I have used third-party power adapters in the past and they gave a tingling sensation when charging so I will try to avoid those going forward and keep it as safe as possible, but I also kind of expect to pay a lot knowing how much Apple charges for these things.. | One year with mac m1 air, current battery health, and quality, is this acceptable? Posted: 03 Feb 2022 01:28 AM PST It's been a year around for mac m1 air 8GB. It's quite a decent device. I had to do only one operating system reinstall, because the newest software update was giving headaches, now back using Big Sur. My daily use of the mac is within google chrome. I'm wondering if after one year of use is this acceptable battery health? It shows (https://i.ibb.co/S6Pby4t/image.png)
As in the screenshot (https://i.ibb.co/jgz8bfd/13-42-time-p.png) I charged the battery up to 94%, and then within 3 hours, the battery was dropped already by 46%. And this is only using chrome. My only concern is that I have to use the charger more often than it was half or a year ago. Is this acceptable for a battery that is a year old? [link] [comments] |

For example, if I ask Siri to spell ricochet, it'll say "R-I-C-O-C-H-E" and not say "T" at the end. For some words like renaissance, Siri will just say a bunch of random letters. This only happens on my devices with iOS 15; those with iOS 14 do not have this problem. It also gets worse when I change to the American voice (I usually use the British voice). For example, the British voice will omit the last letter when spelling "rocket", but the American voice spells "rocket" as "T-N-N". The American voice misspells more words than the British one. I've seen others on a different forum say they have this issue, but there seems to be no workarounds or fixes. They've agreed to purchase AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss, and that I retain ownership of the phone until it is paid off. Is there any way I can retain some control and track the phone, while they are able to have their Apple ID as the primary iCloud account on the device and use all iCloud features?
